The best gym ever. The mist warming and wonderful staff that a place could possible have. The whole experience is just like being at home

User

I love it. All the staff will help you at a drop of a hat. I was completely new to any gym a month ago but I have learnt so many things about new equipment and techniques by simply asking for the staff. I'm now hooked. The classes are great too, I've tried almost all of them now.

User

I like going Exeter harlequin gym Tuesday and Thursday and Saturday all day.

User

I joined this gym not really knowing what I was doing so I thought I'd jump right in with the classes. Not only are they fun but they are hard work and there's a good variety of them; I specifically love John's Kettlebells and Boxercise classes. John has also been really good at showing me what to do in the gym and as my personal trainer, he's helped me drop 2 dress sizes too. The other staff, specifically Chloe, Kayley and Jack are also really nice and friendly and very helpful in the gym.

User

Great friendly gym. Love the circuit classes run by Jim and Kayliegh!

User

User

Can’t praise this gym highly enough! Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a friendly supportive atmosphere- best thing I ever did was signing up to Énergie!

User

Brilliant to be in this gym making a difference to people on a daily basis

User

Awesome gym! It has everything! Incredible value for what is provided. Top equipment and tons of it, can't recommend this place highly enough.

User

All staff are lovely. I mainly joined for the classes and very much pleased I did. I do a lot of classes with Jake - and let’s just say he doesn’t joke when he welcomes you into the class with ‘Welcome to Hell’ - for some reason I keep going back though. Would very much recommend.

User

Perfect gym For beginners, small n cosy... Friendly staff, central to town. And within budget.. Highly recommended..

User

I liked going to the Gym, and it gave me a very good Buz, it made me sweat a lot, which is good, because that means I am burning off Fat, if you won't to lose weight or get muscly and get a Bus join the Gym ASAP

User

Joined when it very first opened, unfortunately I had to stop and cancel my membership due to how busy it became. On more than one occasion I attended the gym and had to leave as people were queuing to use the equipment.

Most of the staff are friendly and helpful

User

Just to set the record straight I did like the gym itself. The equipment is great, staff helpful. It gets overcrowded at times, but so do all the gyms in Exeter. My rating is purely down to dreadful experience of cancelling the membership. I have gave my notice in plenty of time and adhered to all the requirements. The only reason for leaving at the time was that I simply were not able to get there more than once a week and found it easier to just do a bit of exercising at home. But I had a numerous demands for reinstating my direct debit and payments AFTER the notice period. Today I have been sent an administration charge on top of what I have supposedly owned. Every time I phone they tell me to disregard the email and not worry but what they forgot to mention is that they have damaged my credit rating in the process. I probably would have come back sometime in the future, but not now.

User

Way too overcrowded even during the summer when the students are off. Not female-friendly at all as it took them 4 months to supply dumbbells light enough for ladies but still no light barbells. I was asked to move out of the area where they do classes on numerous occasions midway through my session without prior warning so that they can do their class. I finally decided to cancel and after looking through their websites - both local and main - didn't find any information regarding cancellation policy so, as it's advertised as no contract, just cancelled my direct debit. How silly of me as I woke up to an email asking me to pay £40 fee for missing my direct debit payment. Won't be recommending to anybody!!!

User

The experience at your gym had started of well and then the service that followed a personal injury with your recommended PT changed my experience completely. I decided to sign up to your gym, not because it was recommended to me but because i was impressed with the service you provided to new clients, in getting them in for a day trial pass and your competitive membership price. My aim was to build strength in my core and when I was approached by your recommended PT i was introduced to a resistance training programme. This seemed like a fabulous opportunity in actively learning how to use the gyms equipment and how to effectively achieve results the right way and by doing so avoiding injury. After expressing my pain in my lower back pain To my PT He wasn’t concerned by it so following his professional advice i carried on with the session. The pain in the my lower back got worse in the days to come and it was dismissed by the PT as a form of DOMS. Later it became clear this was more of a serious injury as told by medical professionals. I have a slipped disk which in effect has given me Sciatica.

It may be assumed that i should be of good fitness being young etc but i can’t help but wonder whether i was pushed a little too much too soon as my lower back/hip complaint has never surfaced before and given the small amount of exercise done before joining the gym. If someone has a suspected injury this should spark alarm bells to not carry on with programme.

Just to add insult to injury my PT took almost a month to pay me back for the time i could no longer do due to injury attained under guidance at your gym. Also once you resign your membership Energie fitness don't seem to care for your injury or feedback as i am still waiting a response through email 5 days later. I probably wouldnt have taken this matter on to the social network had i had a response by email. Coming from a professional working background, this is simply a breach of your customer service. its just very disappointing that this was my experience. A gym like yours holds a lot of potential with the right care and attention.
