Remembrance Sunday in Westbury on Trym.

Sunday the 15th September 1940 is known as Battle of Britain day. It was a day of heavy and sustained fighting at the end of which it was obvious to both sides that the Luftwaffe had not gained the air supremacy they needed to launch an invasion. Fighting continued for another few weeks, but the action on 15 September was seen as an overwhelming and decisive defeat for the Luftwaffe.
Today we paraded to commemorate the bravery and sacrifice of "the few", the pilots of the Royal Air Force, Commonwealth and allied Air Forces who fought and won the Battle of Britain 79 years ago.

Cinderford Multi-activity weekend camp photos
On the 7th-9th June 43 cadets from central sector Bristol & Gloucestershire wing went to Cinderford training centre to work towards the next step of their progressive training syllabus in a mix of activities. We ran weapons training on the L98A2, bronze radio course, youth first aid, level 2 ILM - young leaders and bronze leadership. A very successful weekend for all. Thank you to all staff who helped and those from CVQO who came to teach the Young Leaders Course.

Rocketry competition, 4th May. The group worked hard for multiple weeks, constructing a working model rocket. The combination of hard work, time and effort allowed the team to make it through to nationals, but unfortunately could not attend. Good job team!! E.J B.M L.P

There's little that can compete with the thrill of a winch launch!
