A great idea for reducing plastic and raise more money for Comic Relief.

Our leaders and helpers come from all walks of life and give as little or as much of their time as they can afford. If you think you can contribute or fancy joining the adventure get in touch. It really is a very rewarding ‘job’.

Thank you to all the volunteers on Founder’s Day.

Last night we hosted 3rd Portchester Sea Scouts and Dan J. Ball Museum freelancer for an evening STEM Boat Building. A great little event and a wonderful opportunity to catch up with some friends before Christmas.

Bag packing has begun

Thank you to everyone who has volunteered to help Bag Packing on Sunday at Sainsbury's. I have today sent out E-mails detailing each Scouts time slots and also a copy of the rules that we need to follow. If you haven't received the E-mail and are expecting to help on Sunday please let me know. Thank you.

The Royal Navy’s recognition of the Sea Scouts dates back to their support for the Coast Watch in World War 1. Here are some more details of the wider organisation’s work during this period.

Great night for 2nd Fareham Scouts at the Pro-Badge Awards evening - Congratulations to William and Jason. William B won the Percy Pig Expedition Challenge Award for his presentation about the expedition. Jason joined the Pro-Badge collective for successfully completing all the Scout badges pro-badge offers and his name is now on the board that lives in Lyons Lodge. The only other 2nd Fareham Scout to complete this previously was Christian Smith.

2nd Fareham on the water again this weekend taking part in the Fareham Creek Regatta with 3rd Portchester. While most of the racing was made up of mixed teams from the two groups, we also competed for the prestigious 'Oar of Fareham'. 3rd Portchester won it on the final turn again this year. In attendance was Amanda Thompson Hampshire ACC Cub Scouts, representing Hampshire County Scouts and the Deputy Mayor of Fareham, Councillor Mrs Pamela Bryant. Sunday saw Scouts, Explorers and Leaders compete in the FSMBC handicap dinghy race, alongside club's lugger community. Sea Dragon's gig crew also took part in a second day of pulling, losing out in the semi-final, which sounds familiar.

Some memories from last weekend’s regatta.

We managed to get 29 Scouts on the water last night in a variety of watercraft. Unfortunately, some of our colleagues were not lucky...

User

We are back at the regatta for Day 2 along with Sea Dragon ESU. This video shows some of our heritage with some old fashioned Sea Scouting.
