Disappointing and frustrating night drawing 1-1 with East Cowes Vics who made it difficult and should take credit .
We conceded on 7 mins and equalised on 52 mins through Bainbridge . Ultimately we could not find the winning goal .
The boys are disappointed as they fell below the standards set however we must keep things very much in perspective .
... -The team have played 19 competitive games in 9 weeks. -They have lost one game in normal time. - They have given the club a fantastic FA Cup experience that will live in the memory for many years - We are unbeaten in the league - Tonight we went top of the league - On Friday we are all travelling to lovely Cornwall for our FA Vase game v Bodmin Town on Saturday.
Not sure our boys have too much to be upset about !!

Tonight's Wessex League Cup game v Premier League high fliers Hamworthy Utd was abandoned with 13 minutes remaining due to floodlight failure .
We were 2-0 down after 12 minutes having made numerous changes from Saturday . Edu halved the deficit on 32 mins and we were then the stronger team for the remainder of the night
Sadly when on top and having the momentum with us to gain a deserved equaliser the lights went out .
... We hope to have the game replayed.

Great club and coaches, my son has loved being a part of AFC Stoneham!

User

Think there wasn't much I way of facilities and being situated near a golf course , strikes me as very odd !! Pitch not that great, accessibility poor

User

Good location, has great potential if investment can be found. Ball boys would be handy to keep the game flowing.
