Taco, a lovely longhaired ginger cat, was brought in following an episode of vomiting the previous day, and dry retching through the night. He didn’t want his breakfast, which was unusual for Taco! He was admitted and anaesthetised. Max found a grass seed right at the entrance to his trachea (windpipe). If it had gone even a few millimetres further it would have ended up down his trachea which would have caused serious problems. Here’s Taco after his anaesthetic, and the offending grass seed. Thank goodness his owner brought him to see us straight away!

Today we said a sad goodbye to one of our amazing vet nurses. Lauren mostly worked as part of our out of hours team on Minight vet ,recently moving on to days as well . We will miss many things about Lauren , her wealth of knowledge, her constant energy but most of all the care she provided for your pets when they needed it most . Good luck for the future Lauren x

It’s easy to forget to worm our pets. Worms live inside your dog or cat so can’t be seen, however although they might not be as obvious a problem as fleas and ticks, they can still lead to health problems in your pet, and even disease in you and your family.

Visited Animed in Shedfield today for one of our Guinea Pigs as concerned for her on going Cheilitis and worried for UTI or stones. The Vet, Mark Warley (not too sure how to spell his surname) who tended to Baby Pig gave her very thorough check over. For Cheilitis gave over flamazine cream and iodine too. With clear instructions on what to do with them. Checked her mouth for ulcers and tooth wear, all good. Tested urine for UTI, clear. Felt for stones, no issues. Looked at teats and bottom, no concerns. £38 consultation fee was very fair for the care and time taken. A Superb service and will happily recommend the Practice and Vet.

Smashing service. Love the earlier opening times at the Gosport branch. First rate veterinary care and customer service. Just a quick mention for Mark, who was superb with my very nervous dog and took her blood (for a starving blood test) in record time, not once but again 2 weeks later. That was so quick and reduced the stress, Brilliant thank you.

I would like to thank the Vets assistant and the vet who helped us yesterday, when we had the most difficult discisson to have our cuddly buddy Jed put to sleep, nothing was to much trouble and to allow us to sit outside with him under the tree whilst our family all said their goodbyes was beautiful. Thank you for all your care and for helping Jed go to sleep with dignity. Xxx

I highly recommend this vets!! My French bulldog needed surgery on her soft pallet, it’s not an easy op and I thought I would have to travel for it. I just moved local and thank god I found and registered at this vet, they had her in so quick, she’s now a different dog. The op went amazing!! Duncan has changed her life, Thank you so much :)
