Ffion and the girls at the Winchester salon have been so welcoming and patient with me, listening and taking on board what I wanted.

My next sitting involved the uber process - basically it removed all the build up of my old dark brown hair dye - which left me a lovely chestnut colour! But what I really wanted was a dramatic change that will also help to blend my light dusting of grey away.



Ffion worked her magic running bleach foils all over and Susannah applied the toner - which has left me with amazing highlights of ash blonde/brown.



I'm totally loving my new hair colour - thank you so much again to all the ladies who work there (sorry I don't know all your names) - You have been professional from start to finish and you all work incredibly hard. I will be recommending you to my friends and family for sure �

Firstly, apologies for this mammoth post, but I hope what u have to say may help others!



I needed Colour Correction, my hair was far too yellow/golden with an overall ginger effect, caused by a different salons stylist.



I knew I wanted brown ashy tones with a few cool icy white highlights, to hopefully match in with my natural white/grey hair, which now grows like wildfire in a solid block around my face!

Since turning white/grey, warmer hair tones no longer suit my skin tone.

My final aim, in the distant future, is for the hair colours applied to match well with my fast turning white/grey hair, so when I'm ready I will be able to grow it out whilst going gracefully grey but I'm not quite ready for that yet! �



I knew the warmth wouldn't be easy to get rid of. Several senior stylists at good salons had tried and failed to change my hair to both dark and light cool ash tones.

The latest stylist did the opposite and somehow managed to lighten it all to golden/ginger.



Desperately looking for help, I searched the internet and came across Arcana. After reading Facebook reviews, I called, spoke to Mimi who was lovely and she immediately recommend Alyce for a Colour change.



My hair is noticeably thinning on top due to a hereditary medical condition. Alyce was immediately aware she would need to treat it differently, knowing if she applied the normal amount of foils for highlights, I would end up far too light. This is something other stylists had failed to appreciate!



With great care and attention, Alyce applied a scattering/full head of ash lowlights, with icy cool highlights and then put a medium ash shade between the foils. Finally applying a toner at the sink.



The outcome was nothing short of brilliant!

I finally feel my hair suits my skin tone. I walked out feeling fabulous (well as fabulous as you can when you hair is thinning on top)!

A bonus, I wasn't expecting, Alyce's clever placement of foils has thankfully made my scalp show a little less, believe me, every little helps!



For the cut, I told Alyce I want to grow my layers, she gave me exactly what I asked for, just snipping the very tips of to prevent split ends.

How many hairdressers are scissor happy? Not Alyce.

Alyce then did a lovely blow dry, as requested with body (you don't see many of those these day either)!

Alyce followed this with hot iron waves, all the while giving me instructions on how to obtain the Look myself.



Alyce, I hope you read this! I can't thank you enough for everything, for your your care, attention and understanding.

For staying late after everyone else had long gone home.

Most of all thank you for giving me fabulous hair colour again.

I have finally found a hairdresser I can regularly visit, hopefully for many years. That is as long as you can put up with me! �
