I popped in on the Hampshire Food Revolution project to present them with an Asda Foundation healthy holidays cheque for £650.
I jumped right in to helping to make sandwiches for about 50 packed lunches which seemed to go down really well with the children.

Everyone at our Breck Road store in Liverpool is right behind seven-year-old Jack while he's being treated for leukaemia – including holding a series of fundraising events for Alder Hey Children's Hospital and Charity and arranging a VIP store tour for him.
Jack's a regular visitor to the store with his mum Jane, and she says he was thrilled by his special visit, when he was given his own name badge, had a go on the checkouts and made his own pizza. Jane said: "He has so many happy memories from his big day – he hasn't stopped talking about it. He loved it. It was fantastic. He wore his name badge non-stop for at least a week. We really appreciate everything the store has done for him. I've never known such a close-knit store." Read Jack's story: http://bit.ly/2YmFhsv

We had a great day and wonderful weather for Bridgemary Carnival. After getting the grant for them to pay the bands I was very pleased to be able to attend along with my colleague Bonnie.
We started the day being shown round the field. A chance to meet charity stall holders. This was followed be a photo call with the Mayor of Gosport, Gosport youth citizen of the year and Caroline Dinenage MP. Bonnie and I then spent the rest of the day selling raffle tickets for the carnival association.

I was lucky enough to attend market day at Baycroft School, which caters for children with extra needs.
Over the last two weeks I have formed a good relationship with many of the students, providing interview skills and mock interviews for those who felt ready. At their market day I worked on one of their stands selling garden items they had made in class. These ranged from wooden bird houses to plant pots made from recycled plastic bottles . Many of the children I had worked with came over to say hello and asked me follow up questions from their interview sessions. Helen Harris, from the school, did a super job selling tin bug houses and bottle bird feeders which the children had decorated. We raised an amazing £140 on our stand!

Five-year-old Lincoln - who has a rare condition that means he can’t communicate verbally - loves shopping at our Rugby store thanks to our Happy Little Helper lists that use the Makaton symbols he knows from school.
His mum Keylie says the lists give him a bit of independence and let him have input on their regular family shopping trips. She said: "Sometimes going shopping can be difficult, but this helps so much." The store’s community champion arranged a special behind-the...-scenes tour of the store for Lincoln which included visiting the home delivery warehouse, seeing bread being made, having a go at making a pizza and serving on the checkouts. Keylie said: "It was amazing for him. He was in his element on the checkouts, but he loved making the pizza best of all. While he was making it he saw a friend from school and he was waving at him. Lincoln felt like a celebrity!" Read Lincoln's story and see more pictures: http://bit.ly/2SlW8dm

Thanks to everyone on Facebook who helped to choose our new pizza counter flavour.
We posted back in April to ask which flavour you'd most like to see – and the Ultimate BBQ came out on top! It has smoked brisket, pulled pork shoulder, chicken and a honey BBQ glaze and it's available now at our in-store pizza counters.

Our home shopping colleague Ash from Asda Inverness is delivering to holidaymakers in some of the most scenic spots in Scotland this summer – and he loves taking photos like these along the way.
Ash and the team at the store cover an area from Dingwall, out to Cromarty on the Black Isle, as far south as Glencoe and as far west as Broadford on the Isle of Skye. He said: "There are miles of spectacular Scottish scenery our drivers pass through every day. I've been quite keen on photography as a hobby since I was a teenager and, with my iPhone to hand, I'm able to stop and get some stunning photos, often straight from the roadside. I enjoy the opportunity to cover runs to the Isle of Skye and Fort William, especially during the summer months." Find out more and see more pictures here: http://bit.ly/2xWu0Eg

Sixty-nine-year-old grandad Steve made an emotional return to our Scunthorpe store to thank the colleagues who helped save his life when he had a cardiac arrest, saying "I wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for them".
Security section leader Josh twice used the store's defibrillator to restart Steve's heart when he collapsed in the store. He was helped by an off-duty nurse and ambulance driver, while colleagues looked after Steve's distraught wife Christine. Steve's now made... a good recovery and wanted to come in to see Josh as soon as he was well enough. Josh said: "I'm so chuffed to bits that he has made a full recovery. Everyone was on their 'A' game that day. Everyone did their bit. We all stayed so calm and didn't lose our heads. It was a fantastic team effort." Steve, who worked as a car park attendant at the store 13 years ago, said: "I just wanted to shake's Josh's hand and thank him. If it hadn't happened in the store it might have been a different story." Read more: http://bit.ly/30vbkYt
