The school holidays have officially started for the majority of the local schools, so that can mean only 1 thing to us..... THE AMAZING MAIZE MAZE OPENS TOMORROW!!
We're really excited to open it especially as this year we have chosen to theme it as 'Cubby' our Wallace & Gromit's Grand Appeal Gromit Sculpture! 🦊 Not only is the maze shaped as Cubby but there are 5 Cubby's to find around the maze! And you then of course have to find your way out!
... You can enter the maze from the car park so you don't have to pay to enter the park but why not make a full day of it and visit us too? The maze is a free to enter but we are suggesting a £1 per person donation to the brilliant Grand Appeal, there will be buckets on hand! It's such an amazing charity, enhancing the experience of visits to the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children and provide them and us with world class life saving equipment, so why wouldn't you want to support them?
If you're flying in or out of Bristol over the Summer we're on a flight path so have a look for yourself and if you get a photo, remember to tag #GU2

i came here with my fmaily on sunday and although the weather was pants we had a great time food was lovely and kids loved the piggy racing only think they i wa say is better signs for the things ou get extra when u pay for adventure upgrade other than that fab day out :)

User

We had an awesome time. Loved the shire horse and carriage ride. I went with my husband, sons and Grandchildren. My boys, aged 29 and 30, reverted back to childhood in the soft play. We will certainly be back, it was a lovely way to spend a family day. I'd had an operation, so was in a wheelchair, but I'm much looking forward to chasing around with the kids next time.

User

We came for the Christmas experience and it was amazing. Kids loved it and so did we. Great experience and so much better than most as it was nice small groups so didn’t feel rushed at all. I would say the price is fair given that it’s a whole day of entertainment and you can see where the money goes as the place looked very festive and really helped set the scene. The staff are all great at Avon Valley and made the experience very enjoyable. Evergreen and patch were fantastic.

Such a lovely day out, definitely a place worth visiting, the inquisitive goats were one of our favourite along with the lazy pigs, Oh and the mustn’t forget lambs that are just being born, a special touch is you can enter a name of your choice into a raffle, and possibly name one of the next generation sheep who are due any day. Lots of other animals to see and feed. Indoor play area, outdoor playground, go karts, fairy house walk, train ride, horse and cart ride. Fairy tale princesses, activities craft making- ours was wand making. Easy to spend a whole day here my son is 11 and daughter is 8 I thought our son would maybe be too old but he thoroughly enjoyed being out in the fresh air and playing in the playground. It was lovely to have happy-carefree children for the day, who actually got on. So in my eyes this is a magical place and worth it’s weight in gold. They never get on!

User

My mum, 9 year old, 7 year old and I came to the Christmas Experience on Monday and it was fantastic :) We have been 3 times now and each year we come away buzzing and vow to come back. Particular highlights this year have to be glice skating (with the sensible idea of being able to book a slot in advance) and the fantastic employees who participated in the Journey to the North Pole Experience. They were so enthusiastic and really interacted with the children and adults, ensuring that we all had fun. I appreciate that this isn't the cheapest option around but from talking to friends about their experiences elsewhere, it really does seem to be the best. Thank you Avon Valley. We'll start saving now for 2018 :) xx

User

Just returned from a fab day out with my 3 year old daughter. We bought the pass that incorporates the additional rides and I have to say I literally had to drag my daughter away at the end of the day as she was having so much fun! I am sure this is very busy during the school hols, so I am glad we were able to spend time there on a quieter day. The indoor play area is fantastic. Thanks for creating great memories with my little girl!x

User

I think it's great for the price. The soft play is great especially the little shops. The farm is great with plenty of animals. Best is you can get a horse and cart ride, a mini train ride and a tractor ride. So much to do for a great price.

User

Fab day out yesterday for 10 of us ranging from an 19 month old to teen plus adults. Lots to do outside didn’t even get to play inside. Kids especially enjoyed the quad bikes and petting barn. Would definitely recommend

User

Came for our first visit today and we will definitely be coming back again soon! Had a super day we got to meet a unicorn and see baby lambs being born! The soft play and outdoor play areas are really good for all ages. All the staff we met were really friendly and helpful!! Thank you for a great day!!

User

As a annual pass holder I love Avon valley (I am here weekly, and have held my pass for 2-3 years and still not bored) tonight I attended the 1st members evening in the play barn and it was great the staff were amazing running around with the kids keeping them entertained. Unfortunately my little one hurt his face whilst on a slide (his fault) your staff couldn't do enough and I mean every member off staff including the kitchen staff! Ice packs, lolli pops, pizza! All given to him to make him feel better! Cannot fault Avon valley staff on any day! But tonight was just lovely thankyou x

User

A hidden gem! Our 15 month old absolutely loved it. Lots of animals, outdoor play areas , as well as indoor for rainy days. Very relaxed atmosphere and best of all no queues

Nice food in restaurant although they are happy to let you bring a picnic .

User

A fantastic day at Avon Valley and great value for money. Lots to do for adults and kids. The highlights were the new jump pillows and the huge slides in the play barn. The owners obviously take pride in what they have to offer as the site is clean and tidy and the staff helpful and welcoming. Thanks

User

With the good weather we managed about 6 hours here so made the £50 entry for 2 adults and 3 grandsons (10, 8 and 5) good value. In wet weather there’s really only the indoor soft play, which is very good but can get crowded. The facilities have improved over the years we’ve visited (eg the toilets) but, especially with the riverside walk closed due to flooding, feel there beds to be oven or two more attractions. Think about 10/11 upper age but great for under 6s with things like animal petting, sandpit and chair swing (£1).

User

Had a fab fun day at the park today, big shout

out and thanks to all the staff as they were all so friendly - from the fairy king and unicorn handler! To the train and tractor driver and the staff in the lambing barn. Great variety of facilities for indoor and outside play.

The only down side (and why I'm not giving 5*) was after loving it so much we wanted to sign up for membership, but we found the price for our just 2yr old was only £5 cheaper than the adult price and we couldn't see how it all adds up when she can only enjoy half of the parks equipment??? Not sure the parks membership is in line with other great local attractions (wild place, zoo, slimbridge) and not sure it is the best value for money - shame as that would have been the icing on the cake! Thanks for nice day though.

User

we have annual passes to this place always there with are 5 kids every week spends loads of money requesting to others to go etc we attend today with 7 kids and as we all do as humans and forget rhings sometimes i forgot are cards the unhelpfull staff wouldnt look us up on the system and gave us an option to pay £ 2 each to get in they have are photos on file so can see who we are but nope they watched as the kids cried as we coudnt go in and had to go again why should we pay o top of are passes i wouldnt reccomemd this place to any one anymore and wount continue with are passes

User

The park and attractions we could use were great, however only half the park was open, all the animal walk by the river was closed meaning no where really to feed the animals. A good day out but feel they should have told us large sections were closed at the beginning of the day.

User

An ok day out- have been to better places. The place looked a bit run down and like it needed a bit of tlc in some places.

Animals looked well cared for and was nice to be able to feed some of the animals.

Lots of outside play space and indoor soft play.

Bit disappointed with the fairy event. Fairy garden pretty but nothing special- have been to better fairy events locally. Stories around the park a nice idea.

Not in a huge rush to return like I am other places we've visited.

User

Went on Saturday and was not very good to be honest for the money. Everything that is good you have to pay extra for tractor and train ride extra. Pretty limited attractions outside particularly this time of year. Big inside play area is okay. This is the first place I have been to where you have to pay more for a kid to get in than an adult!! Baby changing facilities not very good tiny and no room. This is one of these places that Should just shut outside in the winter and charge less to get to the inside attractions. There was supposedly a fairy/unicorn theme was not very good.

User

Very disappointed with the fairies and unicorns. One little fairy garden and a unicorn (that looked more like a giant dog)that the guy walking around wouldn’t stop for the children to see. Found the some of the staff to be quite grumpy. Big advertising for something if you blinked you missed it
