Diane Webber wanted to be a nurse since she was a little girl, and she's still at our Trust 50 years after training at Oldchurch Hospital. She inspired her son into nursing and we're so proud she's still with us. Find out why she's still so passionate about nursing in her In Conversation With interview. https://bit.ly/2T5pgEr

Robert completed an apprenticeship with us and went on to secure a permanent role within our IT team.
'I was attracted to this apprenticeship because of the industry professionals within the sector and the demand on the NHS at the moment means it is a prime time to test yourself.'

The lovely Maisie Hart spoke to us for In Conversation With this week. She's only 23 but has had quite a career path! University wasn't for her so after school she found herself working at McDonald's and thought that was the best she could do - until her nan, a healthcare assistant at our Trust for 14 years, said she should apply here! She did, five years ago and found a job she loves - she's now a pharmacy technician. She was recently name Pharmacy Professional of the Month for her quick-thinking when an elderly patient came in and it was Maisie who spotted she was taking double the amount of lithium than she should have been. Well done Maisie! bit.ly/2GEg9sA

We spoke to the lovely Janet Copp for our In Conversation With interview this week. She's been a nurse for over 40 years and was never in any doubt that it was the career for her. She found she loved first aid as a little girl and hasn't looked back since. She's also a flu champion, which means she not only encourages her colleagues to have the jab - she gives it to them too! https://bit.ly/2N6CdN5

So thankful to queens maternity .. safely delivered my baby on Monday afternoon then saved my life in theatre when I haemorrhaged 2.5litres of blood.

My midwife Lauren was a true angel and the

Amazing team that came from all directions immediately when the emergency call was put out and the alarm pulled. Cannot thank you enough

I would like to say a massive thank you to the ladies in pathology at Queens Hospital today.

I arrived at Queen's following seeing my g.p, my 5 year old son needed his bloods taken. He has been poorly for a few days and had a fever.

It was extremely busy when I arrived, I took a ticket and realised there was 66 adults in front of him. I discuss this with one of the pathologist she was completely understanding, very kind and considerate!

She took his bloods ahead of the queue and was so gentle with him, therefore I wanted to express my gratitude as its been a stressful few days. So Thank you again.

It may of took a little over 4 hours but I am a lucky person to have this NHS! We need to me more thankful . Thank you A&E staff x

King George Hospital -the new system for a and e is awful. Children are being triaged with adults now? 1nurse to triage compared to 4in the old system. My daughter went in with a head injury today we didn’t get triaged for half hour only then logged on to the system then re triaged in children’s a and e. Children should sent straight through if they are going to be triaged again. The children’s a and e is oppressively hot because the doors have been blocked up. It needs a door or a window.
