Over the years, we have endeavoured to develop an industrial concrete space and create a factory garden, primarily a safe haven for nature. We have attracted many different species of birds and insects, which has been wonderful. However, We have especially tried to plant bee friendly plants to encourage the growth of our local bee population.
This year I am very sad to report a dramatic drop in bees visiting our garden, despite it being in full bloom. This is a continuing downward trend across the country.
