Bristol Volksfest

About Bristol Volksfest

Bristol Volksfest is a traditional grass roots Volkswagen show.
An action packed festival weekend with the very best Volkswagens, music, family entertainment and Brizzleness.

Bristol Volksfest Description

Join us at Bristol Volksfest and be a part of the largest grassroots VW festival in the South West.

If you're new to Bristol Volksfest or the VW scene - we focus on all the best things VW, from air-cooled to modified and across all generations, culminating in a huge show & shine on Sunday. We mix that in with the best of Bristol culture, whilst encompassing the modern day V-Dub way of life. If you’re a VW driver, air-cooled or water-cooled, music lover, bargain hunter or you enjoy chilled vibes and a relaxed family atmosphere - Bristol Volksfest is for you.

The main trade /display field will once again be full of the best displays, both private and club as well as the usual wide variety of traders.

1992 saw the very first Bristol Volksfest held around a football field in Almondsbury, Bristol. The brainchild of founder Adrian Ashby, Bristol Volksfest started as a hobby, creating an opportunity for like minded VDub enthusiasts to come along and put their pride and joys on display and swap parts, knowledge and appreciation for the iconic vehicles.
From there it has evolved naturally into one of the biggest VW shows in Britain.

Bristol Volksfest is one of three shows organised by the same dedicated group - the others are Bristol Aircooled + and Oktoberfest.

How's this for a lovely VDub story... This is Hayley Clare, she drove her first car to the very first Bristol Volksfest in 1992 - that's Hayley with her white bug at the show on the left. Hayley sadly parted ways with her beloved bug; but after many years away she returned to BVF 2018 with her family & friends and fell back in love with a similar Beetle - so she bought it! Good for you Hayley 😁

Now that the dust has settled and the wind has died down we’d like to extend a huge thanks to everyone that joined us at Bristol Volksfest 2018. There were some truly epic rides on display, a massive turnout from the clubs, some awesome music and it was great to spend it with such a lovely bunch of people We feel the site is working much better for us now and we know there’s still some work to do on the facilities, namely the toilets. Thanks for all your feedback and photo...s so far, it’s important to us to hear people’s comments, so that we can learn, correct and develop the show and it’s infrastructure. We hope you enjoyed the weekend, we’ll be posting some highlights soon. Please note: We’re still on site full time breaking down the show and will reply to messages as soon as we can. Big love from all the BVF crew

This years theme for Bristol Volksfest was Mad Max; taking inspiration from the iconic movies we built the Gas Station area complete with a Mad Max vehicle display and plenty of fire. On Saturday the people and cars came out in force - here's some of the highlights. Unfortunately we didn't manage to capture many shots of people in Mad Max attire, if you have some good photos we'd love for you to share them with us. Big thanks to everyone that embraced the theme, got dressed up, displayed their radical rides and took lots of pics!
