Up, up and away… My journey aboard the Usborne balloon!
Hi my name’s Stephanie and I’m an independent organiser for Usborne Books at Home and School. Thank you for taking the time to read through this pack of info, I hope you’re finding it useful so far.
I wanted to share my story with you, and why I joined Usborne and how I feel now…
I started Usborne while on Maternity leave with my little boy, as I was looking for something that I could do to gain that independence back, something to focus on that wasn’t all nappies and baby grows. I quickly discovered all the many other benefits to the job and fell in love with it immediately.
After 3 months I promoted to a team leader and received my Double Promotion Bonus of £200, which just felt amazing. This on top of my standard organiser commission was just incredible; I was able to show my (very doubtful) partner “look, I made some money! ! It’s not a scam! ” I was being recognised as ‘The Book Lady’ and my friends and family were also being hugely supportive. I was building a great team, and I was making some amazing friends along the way too.
Soon after this I was able to make the decision not to go back to work, we were going through a major change over, and so I was able to opt for the redundancy rather than needing to go back to work.
Joining Usborne was the best decision I have ever made, I can now spend time at home with my little boy, witnessing his first steps, first words and to enjoy every moment with him, he even comes along to fairs and events with me.
The free books along the way are just one of the many ways in which he benefits from mummy being the book lady, and his love for books has now grown just as strong as mine.
Since joining Usborne I have made some amazing ‘life-long’ friends, we meet up on a social level, know the ins and outs of each other’s families, but we are also colleagues and we all share similar dreams and goals – to write a better story for our families.
The first time I met most of them was at the Leadership Academy, which I was invited to for promoting to a team leader, this was an ell expenses paid for hotel and spa with a two day training, use of the facilities and a lovely dinner and drinks in the evening. Walking into that hotel on my own and not knowing anyone, I didn’t feel like a stranger, these were people I chatted to regularly and they immediately felt like friends. Since then I have been to another Leadership Academy and the Usborne Gala, each time it gets better and I cannot wait until the next one to see them all again soon.

⚠️ HOWEVER... If you would like to pay full price for your book, that's the RRP on the back of the book, I will use the full retail price to buy food, toiletries, pet food, nappies, Christmas food etc and donate to The Trussell Trust food bank in Ringwood. 🎉
... Pay full price for the book and not a penny will go into my pocket, but instead could feed a struggle family at Christmas. 🎄

Steff helped me pick a present for my 5 year old niece, I decided to get the finger print book and it was a huge success! She also helped me pick a book for my 7 month old baby. It can be a bit stressful picking the right book for children but she made it an enjoyable experience and will definitely be getting more books soon! Highly reccomend
I had the advent books this year for my 5 year old son and I highly recommend them! My son was so excited each day to open his new book! A great mix of stories and fact books, some for us to read to him and some for him to learn to read himself. They will keep him going for a while! Great communication and very patient as I collected much later than planned due to a change of circumstances. Thankyou so much Steff!!! I highly recommend you and Busy Books �
