Gloucester Carnival was incredible. We won the star cup! It’s so nice to be part of such a great community event. Can’t wait till next year!

Our crew has done a fantastic job on the ale bar and Amber’s handy work on writing 41 different ales up on the boards is beautiful! Not long now till we open it to the public on Monday!

After a teeny weeny absence, we’re back people!!! This Saturday in The Cellar Bar, BARBERSHOP is back to bring you the freshest and funkiest sounds around!!! This weekend is a special one as we will also be celebrating Big George Barker’s birthday!!! Don’t get it twisted..... GET YOU SOME!!!!

Went for the classic sausage and mash. Beautifully prepared, good portion size and rich in flavour. Staff are efficient, friendly and create a homely environment. Venue itself is stunning, I don't think I've ever seen that many bottles... On the ceiling.

Very nice Caf'e pub Super decor. had a meal which i enjoyed,the staff where wonderful very helpful.will Deffinately visit again

This place is an absolute gem set in the middle of the city centre.

Staff are always very welcoming and friendly whether you visit day or night and the atmosphere is top notch whenever I go.

Great venue, great food, great beers, great music, great events, great live music..... what more could you want??

This is my go-to place for lunch, service is excellent, very friendly nice place and the food is out of this world.

I have never tasted food that is cooked so perfectly and it is just tastes wonderful.

The food was absolutely fabulous and a great atmosphere the music was spot on

Staff are lovely, very friendly and helpful and food is amazing! Came back for the evening entertainment, David Bowie tribute... Had a brilliant time! Would really love to come back again. Highly recommend the experience... The homemade Steak and Ale pie was mmmmmmm, amazing!! Fantastic atmosphere, well done to you all.

My partner and myself have been visiting Gloucester this weekend to celebrate our 3 year Anniversary, and decided to find somewhere to eat, we found this place and have to say the food was amazing, if they did breakfasts we’d have been back in the morning � Superb!

Had a lovely evening on Saturday in the Rene. Really good food, especially good puds. We had a delightful waitress, the name of Dee. It was hot and busy and she was attentive, friendly and efficient. Loved her dress too, she looked gorgeous!

Had a great night on bank holiday Sunday. My only regret is that we didn't go in earlier and eat there too!



We could hear the place before we could see it. It was pumping out some brilliant old skool classics.



Enjoyed the carnival style atmosphere. Will return when next in Gloucester for sure!

Always a pleasure to visit Cafe Rene, food is superb, the bar staff are unique, friendly, alternative and on occasion "talented" lol.

This historic hive also has a "wishing well" smack in the middle of the bar which I've never seen before. �

The only downside is the Wi Fi connection but hey, the entertainment and the staff more than makes up for that. �

Always 5 star- great staff, friendly relaxed atmosphere and amazing food. We LOVE it and recommend to everyone. Lovely Karina serving today even bought me a drink for my Birthday and my little boy fell in love with her �
