2004 ZX10R gearset replacement on the bench this week. This was before being super finished by Ben @ Vapourworx, the finished parts are amazing and should make a super silky gear change.......
New year means the new racing season is drawing much closer already π¬ πβοΈπ€ One of the riders CBC will be supporting for the season has been doing a bit of tank preparation before having them painted. Where there is a will thereβs a way π saved a good few hours as well.
In between the bikes we have been able take care of some visor decals for Chris Swinton 2W's blind photography. ready for the 2019 season π Check out Chrisβs Facebook page and keep an eye on his new website thatβs coming soon.
Another Honda CBR 1000RR gearbox fitted with a Nova Racing updated 3rd gear and back with its happy owner at the end of last week π 5k mike engine replacement looked virtually brand new inside. Whilst apart took the opportunity to check clearances, fit PAIR block off plates and also a manual cam chain tensioner.
2015 Fireblade engine test fitted into a customers 2009 bike. Straight fit with only a slight modification to the wiring from the gear position sensor. Ready to receive its Nova Racing 3rd output gear π
Small braking upgrade fitted to a Triumph 675R today. Also completed a full checkover for its new owner, heβs going to be a happy boy next season πππ
Another CBR1000RR engine in this week for gearbox work. Unfortunately not as lucky as the last one, 3 teeth broken off 3rd output and 1 pushed through the case by the crank, amongst other damage π©
Replacement engine has been decided on, to be fitted with a Nova 3rd output gear as a precaution.
Contact us if you want to know whatβs involved and a cost to upgrade 3rd in your Blade.
2011 Fireblade repairs finished today. The notorious 3rd gear problem resolved by an uprated replacement from the good folk Nova Racing Transmissions Limited. π» Has fought us along the way though......
Last weekend while at Rockingham I was helping out Mick Riddle fitting a set of lightweight wheels modified by Daz Morris @ Meltedsliders. When weighed there was a saving of nearly 5kg vs stock, well worth it! Just think how much more could be shaved off the lap times looking the way the track goes....π
Had a top weekend at Rockingham with Richie Harrison aboard the Meltedsliders GSXR 750 golden era superbike. Three 5th's and a 4th but more importantly a huge step in the right direction for closing the 2 second a lap gap to the leader. Next outing at Anglesey is at the end of the month, bring it on π
Back with its owner is this KTM Superduke R. Now complete with K&N filter, SAS block off kit, O2 sensor removal and an ecu flash with full custom maps for each cylinder. Gain at peak of 5bhp, but the main difference is how smooth it is in the low revs now. Was certainly a long hot day in the 'office' but well worth it for an orange bike.......I mean great customer π
This ZX10 came in with knocking coming from the head stock, when it rolled out with new tapered head bearings the trick Ohlins and Brembo set up was held securely where it counts π
Another one from the weekend at Oulton, Jonathan Harrison came back to racing after some time away in true style. 4th in his first race and 2nd in the next aboard a CBR600 steelsport belonging to a good friend, good effort after swinging his leg over the bike for the first time in Friday qualifying π Steelsport CBR's will feature in CBC's future I feel, hopefully as well prepared and ridden as this one π
Good day at Oulton Park yesterday supporting Richie Harrison in Thundersport GB's Golden Era Superbikes. Very changeable weather but bringing home a 3rd and 8th to move up into 4th spot in the championship. Looking forward to Rockingham at the end of the month now, we deserve the sunshine βοΈ
