So the subject of keeping cats in at night or not keeps coming up. I personally and through my CP volunteering advocate that cats are kept in after dark wherever possible. The majority of cats we have reported to us as lost and indeed killed on the roads are in the hours of darkness and there has been an increase lately. Not only are cars dangerous so are people especially around bonfire night and New Year when fireworks are prevalent. There is also a risk of fox attacks espe...cially with their natural habitat being built on by man, they aren't to blame but they are hungry and brave and can attack. The old adage of putting the cat out at night no longer applies. Some cats won't like it at first but they soon get used to it and learn the routine. I know not everyone agrees but as I said my experience with CP over the last 20 year's has taught me that they are best kept in.

Here are Frankie and Holly! Frankie and Holly are home to home cats.
Frankie is a ginger tabby male and Holly is a female cat with black and ginger colouring. They are brother and sister, aged around 10 years.
They are lively cats who like to play around the house, regularly chasing each other up and down stairs. Holly particularly likes investigating boxes and bags. Both enjoy going outside and being stroked but only Frankie will sit on a lap. Frankie is quite a vocal cat bu...t not in an annoying way ... he just likes to talk to people!
Their current owner would love them to stay together as they have never been apart. They have never lived with other pets or children so she is not sure how they would react to them.
If you would like to meet Frankie and Holly please contact Shirley on 07851 208048. She would prefer texts as she works unpredictable hours and will call you back. http://bit.ly/2SELfUL

If at all possible it is advised that cats are kept inside today in the extremely high winds. Cats are often spooked by strong winds and can get disorientated and lose their way. Also in extreme cases the wind can lift them off the ground risking injury. Mine are being kept in and although not happy at least they are safe and its only short term. Keep safe everyone.
