What a wonderful place! So many different and interesting animals. They all looked clean, happy and very relaxed. The keepers were approachable, friendly and clearly care very much about every animal!

The cuddle corner was the best we have been to. My son got to hold 6 different animals and the ferrets were great fun.

Cafe and play area too with great views.

User

What a great place, staff were really friendly, cuddle corner is amazing. My little girl is 5 and she had a great time. Would highly recommend it. Xx

User

We weren’t sure if our 8 month old would enjoy a trip to see the animals but she loved it! There are low fences which she could get close to so she could see the animals up close without being too far away and having several fences in between. The cuddle corner was brilliant. She got to see rabbits, chicks, hedgehogs, rats and baby goats all up close and it made her very excited. She also got to go to the goat play time which she loved. There are plenty of hand wash areas around for after you’ve touched the animals.

The cafe is great and well equipped with microwave for bottle warming and hi chairs. There is also a baby change area in the ladies toilet.

The staff are all very friendly and actually seem to enjoy telling you about the different animals.

We had a really great time and definitely

recommend it, also a great price compared to other similar places. It’s a shame we were only on holiday in the area other wise we would be here all the time!

User

We weren’t initially planning to visit but I’m really glad we did. We had lots of fun feeding and petting the goats and sheep but the chickens were a bit stand offish. I wanted to take Trousers the pygmy goat home and I think she felt the same way.

cuddle Corner was a lot of fun as well we got to cuddle baby chickens, baby guinea pigs, rabbits and even hedgehogs and rats although I didn’t hold the rat and the hedgehog kept trying to get out of his basket. there was also the single piglet that likes to be held, General Trotter who really seem to be having a great time of his own.

We will definitely be coming back at some point. :-)

User

We thought it was amazing last year, however they have improved even more...... now also got camels, prairie dogs, red and artic foxes, rheas, tanuki, cranes, alpaca, Shetland fouls, ducklings to go along with the array of birds (sorry not hot on birds), goates, pigs, sheep, wallaby, monkey, capybara, raccoons, meerkats, porcupine, donkeys, chickens, coatimundi, peacocks, rabbits, guinea pigs, hedge hog, skunk, fish, chipmunks, rats, gerbils...... so just a few to keep you interested and there is also a play park for the little ones and a lovely cafe. .... do a great breakfast, cuppa and cake! Highly recommend, all set with a lovely scenic backdrop and so relaxing.... well till you start to feed the goats and they are noisy!!!!

User

This is a lovely place set in gorgeous scenery. It is continually growing and improving. The animals are awesome, well treated and well cared for. My wife and daughter (and me) love it. I’m surprised we haven’t come home with a chicken, or a pig.. or a goat. Everything is easily accessible and we love feeding the animals. We have been going for sometime but have recently taken out annual memberships, well worth the money. Aside from the location and the animals the staff are awesome, really friendly and they do a good range of snacks/meals. A brilliant day out!

User

Such a lovely place, I had the best day ever here today. Such friendly, approachable and helpful staff members. The animals were lush, all happy and healthy. I would highly recommend this place!! Definitely will be coming back again 😊

User

Our Children thought it was great!

Our Babies thought it was great!

The grandparents & us as the parents thought it was great too!

Thoroughly enjoyed our time there today, a good variety of animals, activities & the staff we met were friendly too.

A park with a picnic area for the children/babies to let off steam aswell as eat they loved the freedom.

Food was lovely too!

Facilities for bathroom & baby change are sufficient. Being able to feed the sheep/goats & poultry made their day its a great idea

Only downfall was activities could have advertised with times in a couple of areas as I only noticed 1 in the shop by chance on the way through to the car as I had forgotten something. We will visit again once the babies are older they’ll no doubt enjoy it even more.

User

Me, my mum and my brother had an amazing day here. The staff were friendly and full of information. The animals were all in great health and were very relaxed and happy. The cuddle corner was just the best! We got to hold so many animals and the staff knew them all by name and character. Recommend this place to anyone!

User

Me and my family had such a brilliant day at Chew Valley Animal Park-can not recommend it enough. Such a friendly park with so many lovely animals, a great park area and cafe and a fantastic cuddle corner.

User

I literally couldn’t contain my excitement when coming here and I’m 22!! So lovely to be able to handle the animals and always a keeper round to ask questions too! Best day out for family/friends!

User

I honestly cannot recommend this place enough, the staff are fantastic, the animals are so adorable and even better that you can get a hands on experience and learn about the animals up close, just brilliant!!

User

Highly recommended. My husband and I visited with some friends and children and had a wonderful day all round. Beautiful animals in a stunning setting, staff who clearly care about the animals and visitors, and we had a chance to speak to the owner who is great and clearly dedicated to the animals. We had food in the cafe which was lovely. We can't wait to return, and are telling all our friends! Thank you for a lovely day.

User

Had the best day here ! Was fantastic. Good range of different animals, got to be up close and personal with them. Even got to hold a range of different animals too. You can feed them as well! The staff were friendly and helpful. Great clean place to visit and lovely views if you get the weather to eat your lunch outside. In my view this was much better than going to a zoo as these animals had space and freedom. I will be returning here soon !

User

Chew valley is situated smack bang in the middle of spectacular scenery which compliments the place wonderfully.

Easily accessed and open, the layout is easy to navigate.

You are always close to animals and all are easily observed.

Staff clearly love their jobs and it's reflected by their smiling faces and polite and chatty natures throughout the entire day.

You are well catered for a day there with good food and plenty of places to sit.

Animals are incredibly friendly and always happy to see and interact with people which is just lovely and such a change from sleeping or pacing animals usually associated with larger establishments.

Chew valley may be smaller than most parks, but you can see a lot of love goes into it and the animals, the land is constantly evolving and expanding which means there is always reason to revisit and see new and improved things, it's very up and coming and quickly becoming THE place to be!

Quality over quantity is what you get here and the non commercialised, relaxed environment is a breath of fresh air, combined with great value for money, there is no reason not to make it a regular entry in your diary, as it is in mine! :)

User

Brilliant place to go with the kids very friendly and helpful staff the animal was really well kept and the place was vary clean and tidy keep up the good work will be back

User

Amazing place, healthy and happy looking animals, you can feed sheep and goats and have a cuddle with the smaller animals, staff were really polite and very friendly and informative and had a great way with the animals. Cafe served lovely food at good prices. Definitely recommend!! Only wish I knew about this place sooner

User

Amazing day out, love that you get up close to the animals and hold them in the cuddle corner. All the staff are all very friendly. Would definitely recommend this place. Will definitely be coming back. One of my daughters favourite places to go.

User

Absolutely fantastic place. Set on a hill with beautiful views over the lake, the animals are well looked after and such a variety. We had no idea it was here and will definitely be visiting again. From or 11 month old to the adults we all had a great time.
