As an independent organisation we aim to promote and practice Karate as Japanese Fighting Art. Whilst being inclusive and not elitist. Every member has their own reasons for training. We give some opportunity for Karate-ka to 'Specialise' whilst pushing to develop into 'well rounded' Students. Also giving our members access to both indigenous and experienced British Karate Instructors with access to Japanese Instruction and concepts. We foster a Budo spirit and offer a simple no frills approach to training. We train in Kihon, Kata and Kumite as a progressive learning system incorporating pad and bag work for 'Hard contact' practice of Techniques. Whilst we are practicing with control we accept that there is a 'Managed' risk of injury. We try to developing a non violent philosophy whilst we learn to deal with violence and work on achieving a balanced and wholesome Character. Training in Karate until it becomes instinctive.
