Classic Costume Description
http://www. classic-costume. co. uk Welcome to the Facebook page for Classic Costume, where you can find images of costumes I make, costumes I like, news of other costume makers, sellers and auctioneers, pictures and links to other costume related stuff - shoes, hats, gloves, fabrics and haberdashery, plus 'Mad Costume of the Month'
Its lovely to see and hear what other people are doing - stops me going nuts talking to the sewing machine - and you are welcome to share your costume photos and comments.

off to Bath on Friday :-) https://www.fashionmuseum.co.uk/about
day off today - must order some more fabric - need some pink silk :-)
oh and this is just AWESOME!!!!
Indispensable part of anyone's sewing kit as well - stops you bleeding on the silk when you prick your finger. I still have one of these from Natural Spa Supplies bought at Bruntingthorpe maybe 7 years ago?
Really sorry to say goodbye to Ancor and Ana - my Dream Team - who have moved back to Spain. Here they are risking life and limb for Classic Costume at Wembury beach last October.
this is on my xmas list for 2018 - in case anyone is wondering what to get me :-) https://themodernmaker.net/β¦/the-modern -make-vol-2-pattern-β¦

August 'silly season' entry for mad costume of the month - this is PASTA!
Not really my era, but I can't wait for my copy to arrive. Victorian delights from Izabela of Prior Attire
..and she even looks like me! Thank you Miss Devon!
This is Karen of Barbican Fabrics in Plymouth - just around the corner from my workshop and an absolute liifesaver when I run out of bits and pieces in the middle of a project. Great little shop - and she does alterations too.
OK - emerged from the rabbithole of an emergency order - back to this one now, hopefully will have some progress to report this week :-)
Here's a photo of snow coming down outside the workshop not so very long ago.
Yes Facebook - I haven't posted for 5 days - you'd be quiet online too if you were doing as much hand sewing as I this week :-0

I don't normally wear a classic dress, but if I did, it would be one of Karen's. I've seen some she's made, and they're really very impressive.
