We were back in Newbury over Christmas and went to see Cinderella at the Corn Exchange. Our party of 8 ranged in age from 3 to 60+ and included a couple of teens. Everyone enjoyed it (a challenge given the age spread) the players were excellent and brought the characters to life. Princess Charmless was priceless and Buttons the bunny and Cinderella were the favourites of our two three year olds.

I wish the team every success and would happily repeat the experience. Thank you.

Just watched "Crimes under the sun" an amazing show by a fantastic theatre company.

Just been to see Beauty and The Beast. Obviously I don't want to give away any spoilers, so I'll try not to. Once again it was an incredible production by the Corn Exchange. I prefer these ones to the flashy, celebrity performances in neighbouring towns because the stories at the Corn Exchange are usually so much better and the relatively small cast are fantastically talented.

Don't expect the Beauty and The Beast you read as a child or watched on the big screen, this one is completely bonkers and has very little in common with either. But the characters are still wonderful and the storyline is fun, if a little confusing in places.

The slapstick antics of Pickle and Lilly had my nephews roaring with laughter and the wicked witch was as mean and sarcastic as she was endearing.

The highlight for me was when the writers pushed the traditional boy-girl pairings and introduced a same-sex couple into the story. Although they weren't the title characters, they were still strong and visible roles, that met and fell in love with no opposition or forced explanation. Just a natural and organic pairing that sets such a wonderful example to the predominantly young audience that love is love.

I am always so disappointed with children's programmes and cartoons that restrict themselves to only showing heterosexual relationships unless it's some big coming out story. They re-enforce stereotypes that shouldn't exist in today's world.

The relationship here was integrated into the pantomime so effortlessly that I was genuinely moved by it.

Thank you to the Corn Exchange and the wonderful cast and crew for a brilliant performance.

I love the atmosphere at the Newbury Corn Exchange. It is such a relaxed place you can happily go along to events on your own. The little cinema is a hark back to older times and whilst it doesn't have a large screen you instead feel as though you are at a private screening. The Auditorium is also a great place for shows and if you are a member you get priority booking and discounts on food and drink. Why would you not want to be part of this and help maintain this for Newbury?

Great night at the Jongleurs comedy club last night and love the intimacy of the cinema when I go. Great venue and people working there. Only one negative and don't know if this is in general but it was so hot in the stalls last night we were melting. Made for a slightly uncomfortable first half but temperature cooled by the 2ND half so all great again In the end.

Another year Adult panto and it was as usual full of fun, comedy and amazing songs and actors. Never ever been dissapointed by your shows. Keep up the good work everyone roll on 2018. Highly recommend for families and adults alone done both sorts of panto both are amazing

Have not been to comedy night at corn exchange since it was known as jongleurs was refreshing and full of fun most enjoyable taster for the future.

The corn exchange itself seems like a fair enough venue where I think they go wrong is with their outdoor events. I live in the market place, as a lot of other people do, there is no consideration for that in the outdoor events. They are loud even if we keep our windows closed but worse than that is the noise before and after in set up, currently I have been listening to five hours of someone drilling into metal! Every day I get off work and want to relax at home there is a outdoor event to ruin it. Thanks a lot 😡🙁

I really think the theatre company who put on the production of the sheep pig should re assess the age rating for this show! The mechanical dog alarmed many children in the audience and I was surprised to see chainsaws in a children's show! I think staff at the Corn Exchange should watch these shows first to see if the aged rating is appropriate! My family and I enjoy coming to this venue a lot but we will certainly be sceptical when booking in the future!
