The fake shakes are a three piece blues act from Southampton consisting of Zaxpia Skinner, Andy Young and James Brookes. Performing originals with a mix of classic and obscure covers with a modern take on blues and soul.

Along with our popular fortnightly jam session, The Cricketers is delighted to be hosting our first ever open mic night ALES AND ANTHEMS every Thursday!
Between 8pm - 10:30pm the stage is yours to show off your musical skills and all ales are £2.80 all night!
... There will be a list of songs and a pen floating about during the course of the night and we invite you to put a tick next to the song you'd like to hear performed by our house musicians at the end of the show. The song with the most votes will be the finale performance. Music

You can't go wrong here to be fair. Great selection of ales and other drinks (I like ales).

Good food, in fact one summer they were having a barbecue. It was the best burger I've ever had.

Wonderful place for people of all ages. Staff are very welcoming and it has a lovely atmosphere :)

Was there 23rd March 2017, for there new menu launch. Great little pub, polite and friendly staff, good selection of real ales and food that will grace the best of pub food in Southampton. Look forward to going there again.

This place always has a great atmosphere. The events held here are always fun and enjoyable. Definitely a great place if you aren't into the whole teeny bopper vibe and just want a high quality pub with a nice relaxed vibe. Garden is great and the staff are always polite and friendly :-)

Fantastic pub and the best thing about it, they allow you to bring in your dogs. Bar staff and management very welcoming and is very well run. I was impressed. I highly recommend this pub

Always a good selection of real ale - you'll rarely see the same beer on tap twice in a week!!

Fantastic food - real good value for money, the Stilton and Red Onion Chutney Beef Burger is a particular favourite...not to mention the steaks!

A cosy little paved garden, good music and the staff are absolutely brilliant.

Exactly how a pub should be!!

Southampton disabled citizen refused entry for wearing an England shirt. My brother, who is in remission from myeloma (cancer), and who was wearing a neck brace, was refused entry to this pub yesterday because he was wearing an England shirt. We were born in Southampton, he has lived there all his life (he is 48) and he was alone. I realise that standards are important and that a pub has the right to bar who they want, but this is just unbelievable and will stop him and his friends and family from visiting this pub again. What a loss of custom and what a way to treat a disabled person .....
