🇳🇴 Welcome to Olden 🇳🇴 Scenic splendour sets the tone in this enchanting port of call, idyllically set at the top of the innermost arm of the nordfjord, an almost 65 mile long inlet, cut deep into the coastline. Olden itself is a charming village and popular tourist resort, nestling in a valley beneath magnificent mountains whose towering peaks reflect in the deep green waters of the fjord. With an arrival of 8.30am and all onboard for 5.30pm, and no need for a shuttle bus as we dock right by the small village. 4.30pm on board on deck 18 aft we celebrate our event for Teenage Cancer Trust - Trek the deck - donate £10 and receive a trek the deck t-shirt. With our Connortations duo setting the scene for the sailaway this evening at 6pm. Evening entertainment this evening starts in the theatre with ‘Hollywood & The Kings’ - taking you back to the smokey sophistication of the jazz and swing world, celebrating the iconic artists of a that classic era, with a few twists along the way. Performed by a trio of tantalising talent direct from the west end and Broadway offering stunning close vocal harmony and chemistry that is second to none. Down the other end in the Live Lounge we welcome back Pulse with ‘Legends of Rock’ with an epic Pink Floyd ending!! Followed by late night disco with Dj Martin before we have a good nights sleep before our next port of call and our final port of call, Bergen.
Limelight club is the final performance of Michael Starke as he gets off in Bergen and we welcome Physic Sally onboard. The Pursuit game show starts in the Crystal Room two Entertainment Hosts battling out just like the infamous game show on TV ‘The Chase’.
As well as the normal sailaway onboard Britannia we also offer an ‘Exclusive Scenic Sailaway’ - looking for that perfect unobstructed view as we sail away from the beautiful port of Olden? Join our officers in a private setting and enjoy a selection of drinks and canapés as we set sail - a small fee of £25 applies.
That’s all for today, happy sailing to one and all and fair winds...see u tomorrow for the final installation of this cruise before we arrive in Southampton on Saturday 15th June

Last night in the theatre was WE3 which was well attended again for both shows and the amazing ‘Legends of Rock’ with Pulse and even then getting a standing ovation at the end for their tribute to Pink Floyd at the end was breathtaking, then late night disco closed a bit early last night at 2.15am before we all had a good nights sleep before our next port and our final port of call this cruise.

Rotterdam ... Rotterdam is an ideal starting point for ventures to Amsterdam. Alternatively there is a whole host of attractions within Rotterdam, the largest port in the world, a city of modern architecture and delightful culture. Over the centuries Rotterdam grew from a fishing village into an international centre of trade. From here you can visit The Hague, Delft or get to know the real Rotterdam.
So with Britannia being overnight there is no need to rush back, time to enjoy the sights and sounds of what Rotterdam has to offer or even further afield in Amsterdam. To get to Amsterdam there are many ways by bus (takes about 1hr) by train (takes about 40mins) or by taxi which you could share for 4 people for it work out cheaper as we don’t want to pay extortionate prices just for the day.
Today I am just staying in Rotterdam, so I’ve took the free shuttle bus into the city which takes about 15 minutes and have a little explore and wander. Where the bus drops you off it’s right by the maritime museum.
Entertainment this evening in the theatre starts with our very own Headliners theatre company with Astonishing and down in the live lounge we welcome back Maxine Mazumder with her tribute to Dusty Springfield. In the limelight we welcome back Cheryl Baker with her very own intimate show whilst you enjoy a three course dinner. Game show galore up in the Crystal Room with our new game show, spin in to win it with two of our ents hosts and quizzes in the Brodie’s Bar and sadly the casino is closed due to port regulations.
That’s all for today Happy Sailing to all and fair winds.
