Did you know?
Our Love Smoothies cups and lids are now made from corn starch, which is a renewable, plant based material (also known as PLA).
While plastic straws take between 100 to 1000 years to brake down in landfill, PLA straws will break down in commercial food waste in under 12 weeks!

Congratulations to our September Team Member of The Month.... Denise 🌟
Denise oozes positivity and is an absolute pleasure to be around. Nothing is ever too much trouble and she is always going out of her way to look after our members. There is never a week that goes by that she isn’t mentioned for her hard work on our member feedback tablet by our members.
Thank you Denise, you are a superstar 🌟

What a wonderful place. The staff are so helpful friendly. Would really recommend the restaurant the food was so tasty and good choices. Clean tidy and the staff couldn't be more helpful

User

Recently re joined the club and couldn't be happier. Staff are so helpful and welcoming and always look presentable. New cafe-bar looks great as do the other refurbishments. Facilities are always clean and courts are always available unlike other clubs I have been a member at (no naming!!). A David Lloyd like no other I've been in, and would recommend to friends. *****

User

New spin studio is fabulous, I have wanted to do spin classes but was put off by the lack of air conditioning in the old 'corridor'. Did my first RPM spin class today, very tough but very enjoyable, thanks to all for great facilities and great atmosphere at the club. Looking forward to trying the virtual RPM class tomorrow - another great idea and good to have more classes available between 3 and 4 pm.

User

I love this club! The best thing about it for me? The crèche! The staff there are amazing, they are so good with my son who runs in with a huge smile every time. I am hugely fussy about leaving my son with anyone (what parent isn't?!) and previously had only left him with family....he's 2.5 and settled in beautifully at the crèche. The staff are kind, patient and he has a blast there. The activities they do are fun and engaging, and he brings home art work and little projects...it's so well done. Kathryn and Sara are fantastic.

And of course it means I get to use all the brilliant facilities...especially the spinning. Fab club, great for families, friendly staff and yummy food....it ticks all my boxes!!

User

I have to say I absolutely love this gym. It's much more than just a gym, it's like family community. Every single staff member makes you feel so welcome to the club, they all go the extra mile to make us the members feel so welcome and happy, especially the girls in reception they are always smiling all the time. And I have to say the gym is always so clean. Scott the new manager has brought so much positive energy into the club, he's always walking around asking members and staff how the club can become better. So if you are looking for a great gym to join, don't look any further this is your gym. I highly recommend this gym. I know you're going to like it.

User

I have been a member at Ringwood DL for 7 years next month and having moved to the area knowing no-one it has been such a friendly great place to meet and make wonderful friends. I have always been a gym girl but I absolutely love the classes here and the instructors so make full use of getting to as many as I can!

User

I am a fairly new member, all the staff are always polite and helpful, the food is always amazing, I eat here a lot! I also went to my first Les Mills Grit Strength class last Thursday with my sister, I'm not very fit but the instructor (can't remember his name, sorry!) was so nice and welcoming and even when I was totally out of breath he was encouraging and showing me how to do the exercises correctly, I will be booking on again. I have also attended body balance classes before where the instructors are equally helpful! Can't fault the club and am looking forward to seeing the results of the refurb!

User

I absolutely love the facilities at this club. I have been a member for 7 years now and can't fault the staff. Scott does a really good job and is always willing to listen to members opinions. The classes are fun and the gym is friendly but they really work hard to help get the results you're wanting to achieve. I particularly love the swimming. The swim group sessions and masters sessions are fantastic and I have really improved since attending them. In the summer the roof is pulled back and we have an outside pool, just like being on holiday, and the grounds with the lake are beautiful. There is not another club like this one and is worth the membership fee. Although please don't put it up!

User

Attended Claire's Aqua Zumba today for the first time since joining DL 18 months ago and it's been my favourite class so far. Thanks Claire, your enthusiasm and energy are inspiring. Looking forward to coming back next week.

User

Arrived this morning at peak time and yes car park was busy as expected. However , what was so good to see was the general manager on the front line speaking to every member and directing traffic. Not many GM's do that....

Within a couple of minutes we were directed to spaces when staff members came out and moved their cars for us all ... fabulous service once again x

User

Used the club as a guest with a member. There were some queries whether I would be permitted a towel to use which seems odd.

Overall clean and well maintained, the car park enlargement scheme should be a benefit

User

Visited this club during the festive break. I told the receptionist that it wasn't my usual club and I wanted to go swimming. While she pointed me in the direction of the changing rooms, she never informed me that there were two pools, with one more suited to adults. This I had to find out from a lifeguard on duty. Following this, I then had lunch in the cafe bar when I was served a very inadequate meal with cold fries and a limp kale. As a member of another David Lloyd club, I have never been served anything quite so disgusting. I think this branch of David Lloyd needs to improve massively

User

Also very disappointed to learn of the closure of one squash court. I seriously think the club need to rethink this and listen to the members. There is a very strong nucleus of squash and racket ball members. This decision is shortsighted as it does not take account of money spent over the bar by the squash and racket ball members after they have played. Spinning will not generate the same bar takings.

User

This club has deteriorated over the years and I have been a member for many years and experienced the decline. Management now ,without consultation of the members wish to remove one of the three squash/rackets courts which will remove competitive rackets from the club, two courts ,one being next to a new 30 man spinning class with all the associated noise, heat and moisture will not be concussive to playing enjoyable games or racket ball

User

The removal of a squash court will mean that David Lloyd Ringwood will only have two remaining courts, the club in effect will be unable to host team matches & club nights. They may as well take out the other two as well. Squash is a minority sport and yet as a county and as a country we have produced winning teams locally, as well as junior champions. At the international level we have more than our fair share of winners as well. From a personal perspective I have been a member for over 25 years, both at Ringwood & david Lloyd Bournemouth, saddened to see this loss to the local sporting community.

User

Really sad about the announcement to close squash court 3. I've been a member for over 20 years and this has just been imposed without any discussion or informed justification with the members. Surely there are other ways to accommodate the spinning fraternity. I play squash and racket ball at the peak times, Monday league night, Friday club night and Sunday morning racketball when people are already queuing to get on court. Losing a court will also render the club unable to host any of squash tournaments it used to in the past. Having to reconsider my family membership as a result. :-(

User

My visitor from overseas intended to use your gym facilities this afternoon.

The receptionist was incredibly surly and unhelpful whilst telling him how much it was and that he couldn't come in without a member being present with him.

I found this extremely embarrassing.

I really find this short sighted attitude odious and does not reflect well for the David Lloyd brand.

I will definitely not be recommending David Lloyd to either family, friends or visitors to the New Forest.

User

Just been given the news that one of the squash courts will be turned into a spinning room. The news comes with only weeks before the change. No discussion with squash and racquet ball members to share their opinions or help to try and give other solutions in order to keep all of the members happy.

User

I can not believe how the club are treating their oldest and most loyal members, it is very clear to me that we are just a number to the club and the management do not care about any of our views. The way the closing of one of the squash courts has been handled is appalling and the club need to have a good look at itself. I strongly recommend that you should be very careful before making any financial commitment to this club.
