We tried to look at this without being party political, difficult but not impossible. So trying to see it from an impartial viewpoint made us wonder what black Tory MPs think of this statement and what, if anything are they prepared to say about it? Obviously it isn’t all down to them to protest, an injury to one is an injury to all and the same aide likened women athletes to paralympians, which is actually meant to be both insulting to women athletes and those with disabilit...ies, but maybe women should embrace that and say we are proud of the comparison, given the hurdles (forgive the pun) faced by both groups. Cummings did ask for misfits and weirdos to come forward for civil service posts and they don’t come weirder than Andrew Sabisky, unless you count Cummings himself. While the debate continues to rage in the Labour Party re antisemitism we have this sort of comment being glossed over with very little comment. We should ALL be angry and if we are not then we are either racist or just not paying attention because we think it doesn’t apply to us. Yet again, Niemöller’s edict applies.#Resist

Whether one supports Richard Burgon for Deputy or not, surely any right minded person should support this peace pledge. Also MPs rolling up drunk to vote and then laughing and cheering at the results is absolutely disgraceful. Most of us would be dismissed if we turned up drunk for work. #Resist
