very good contact with the dog, with the owner. calmness, patience, certainty. I was scared. we both needed help and learning. now I'm changing, I'm learning my dog, the dog is learning tolerance, contact with other dogs, obedience. Callum will explain, he is patient. Shon loves him when he sees Callum is crazy about joy. I am grateful. Shon is still learning, but he has learned a lot. I am glad that the problem of small white dogs is no longer a huge problem. now another dog can go and he is calmer.
Very friendly and very professional. Thank you so much.
Thank you thank you from the bottom of my heart. Callum you have made me feel so relieved and positive about our boy Marvin. You explained so clearly to us why he did what he did. We certainly know we have made the right decision and now know what we need to do to help him. οΏ½
Thank you Callum, we have a lot of work ahead of us but we can now see how to move forward and help Beau. So wish we had found you sooner but so pleased we have found you now. We would highly recommend. We are looking forward to continuing our training with you as we now realise we need just as much if not more than Beau!
Teddy has been coming to Callum for 4 months now and is amazingly well
Behaved Callum has helped with Teddys anxiety and little dog syndrome lol as well as learning some tricks along the way x
Some of you reading this recommendation will know our Old English Sheepdog, Nelly and some of you wonβt! We have worked with Callum at How My Dog for several months and wish we had met him sooner! He has done wonders with Nelly. She was stubborn and defiant with no concept of doing as she was told! Callum has worked patiently with her over several months and she is now a different dog. She is still full of character and loves life but she does do what she is told now! Before we met Callum we couldnβt walk Nelly to heal on the lead, after spending time with Callum she not only walks to heal but she does it even when she is not on the lead! The improvements in Nelly are too many to list but suffice to say she is now a confident, obedient and truly wonderful dog. Callum has an amazing talent that enables him to bring out the best in the dogs he works with without them losing their character. She loves Callum and gets so excited when she sees him. It is clear that Callum works with and trains dogs because he loves what he does and has a real passion for it which shines through. We will continue to bring Nelly to see Callum for the foreseeable future - not because she needs the training now but because she loves the time she spends at How my Dog and she gets so much enjoyment from learning new skills with Callum. We canβt recommend Callum and How my Dog highly enough and want to thank him for all his hard work.
Ruby has 1 to 1 sessions with Callum and she has gradually turned into an amazing well behaved little Welsh Terrier albeit still shows her true Terrier instinct when off the lead. Callum is amazing and Ruby loves him. Thanks Callum....looking forward to the next stage of her training.
Reggie had his first puppy training session yesterday and had a whale of a time! He started off quite tentative with Lincoln, Callum's staffie pup, but by the end his confidence had grown and they had a great time playing (I mean socialising!). We had already started with sits and recall, and Callum was able to show us where we could change our approach to ensure the best results with Reggie, as well as what we should be doing next. Really looking forward to attending more puppy socialisation and training classes over the coming weeks and months :-)
My Grandaughter has taken her dog to How My Dog for 3 weeks in a row to take part in obedience lessons. They both love it! Highly recommended!
Known Callum for a number of years and worked along side him.
Great bloke very intelligent and honest !
All the things I look for in a dog trainer!
Lots of evidence of his work also, see videos οΏ½
It is clear to see that Callum loves working with dogs and people. His knowledge and handling of dogs is outstanding. The training sessions I've attended have been fun and informative with Callum providing guidance at every opportunity. I continue to see positive results with each class and find Callum very approachable for further help when required. I presented with a challenging dog and Callum's honesty and commitment to improve her behaviour has blown me away. Thank you for all your help and support. Yourself and the gorgeous pup Lincoln are amazing!!!!
I visited Callum yesterday with Leigha the Staffordshire bull terroir and unfortunately she has a serious issue with my Mum. She couldn't be in the same room as her without growling and trying to bite for no reason at all. With just an hour session we left with my Mum holding the lead! After some correcting and training she began to look at my Mum for help when put in a stressful situation and sat next to her letting her stroke her. I honestly didn't think it was possible, especially not in such a short space of time! I can't recommend Callum enough. He is very confident and put my Mum at ease as she has become very scared of Leigha. We have come away with tips and a routine to follow to continue her training and a very positive outlook for the future. Thank you Callum!
I couldn't recommended callum from How my dog more, my two dogs lulu and dappa have now had four 121 sessions with him and the difference in them is incredible. Callum clearly knows what he is talking about and has so much knowledge and helpful advice. I'm so grateful to have found such a great trainer οΏ½
Hello, my Jack Russell Ben, arrived on his first visit, tentative, shy & timid, lacking confidence to engage with the training dogs. We re-visited again today, the difference in Ben was nothing short of spectacular, he ended up, playing and chasing beautiful blue staffie puppy Lincoln, showed authentic signs of confidence, alert to change and a positive all round disposition.
If your dog and yourself feel the need to establish a connection, please consider Callum & his pack!!οΏ½οΏ½οΏ½
Had our first session this evening to see if Calum can help with our dogs barking issue, great service he explained why she is doing it how to help and make her more confident lots of hard work but looking forward to going back first class service
Excellent training for all types of protection etc. Callum knows his stuff and can bring out the best and pick up on any areas that need working on. Really good explanation and breakdowns on the dogs mindset and behaviours.

Excellent first session with Callum. He makes it easy to understand and how to implement what to do with our dog. Lots to practice on at home but can already see a difference
Callum sourced my General Purpose working dog. He matched me with the right dog and has helped to train him in general obedience, general protection and helped to focus his drive into the working field. Callum has been invaluable in training and is always there to give advice. I highly recommend any dog owner, of either a working, or pet dog, to contact Callum with any training or behavioural needs.
Callum is great and has very good approach to my dog Chaos. 1:1 sessions are really worth it and helped us a lot. Definitely recommend.
Callum has helped me to be more confident as a 1st time dog owner. He is very patient with both my dog and me. I have really enjoyed the socialisation walks and groups and getting to meet other dogs and their owners. thanks Callum.
