Our long established, experienced and nationally recognised team fully understand the complexities of property taxation. Our Services:

Capital Allowances:

Capital Allowances enable UK taxpayers to obtain tax relief for expenditure on certain fixed assets. However, they are not always straightforward.
Capital Allowances can achieve significant savings against income or corporation tax liabilities, and every property sector can benefit even certain residential schemes. Anyone who spends money on property – owners, occupiers, investors and developers - can make use of tax reliefs in one form or another.

Capital Allowances provide an excellent opportunity to enhance tax claims but careful attention must be paid to the rules and to HM Revenue and Customs' interpretation of them, to preserve their value and benefit. Early advice is essential to properly assess the potential impact on a project.
In our experience, when we have been brought in to review a project, we have been able to identify additional tax savings in over 80% of cases.


Land Remediation Tax Relief:

These days, developers are investing increasingly in sites with contamination and dereliction issues. Land Remediation Tax Relief (LRTR) has been available for regeneration projects since May 2001, and yet it still relatively unheard of by either the companies involved, or their accountants. Significant tax savings can be made.

We have undertaken LRTR claims for a wide variety of clients and situations, with project values ranging from £235, 000 up to £600m, many of our clients have been pleasantly surprised at the levels of Qualifying Land Remediation Expenditure ultimately agreed with HM Revenue and Customs.


Value Added Tax:

At a rate of 20% , VAT can turn an expected profit to a thumping loss, or a marginal project to a highly rewarding one.

There are important reliefs as well as dangerous traps, and there is much to be gained by identifying these, and /or making sure that you qualify for as may be appropriate. Project costs can be reduced by removing a VAT charge, by ensuring that you can recover VAT you do pay, and by managing VAT cashflow.


Repairs and Maintenance:

Helping clients achieve the 100% revenue deduction against their repairs and maintenance expenditure. Our expert understanding of the tax rules and precedent case law ensure we optimise the tax savings for our clients.
