Well done to all our finalist and winners.

Many thanks to all the people who helped make a success of yesterday's finals day including the Championship committee, Ros Topple, Mark Hamann and Connor Glover. Also Mike Rice for umpiring, Andrew for the food, Steve Wilson for the music and Doggie for initiating the evening event. The attendance of so many non participants spectating and supporting the evening event is very much appreciated. Such a shame that a number of finalists were unable to attend the presentations. Thanks also go to Robin who did everything he could to get the grass courts ready only to be scuppered by the rain.

IT'S FINALS DAY THIS SATURDAY!! COME AND WATCH AND CHEER ON OUR OWN CHAMPIONS

It was a busy afternoon at the club with Road to Wimbledon regional finals and a Grade 4 14U Boys Singles event. Congratulations to Thomas for beating the 1st and 2nd seeds to take top spot in the 14U Boys, coming from a set down in his semi and the final!

Well done to our Ladies 2 team ( Wendy Hanford, Kate Tunks, Jenny Eden and Sue Hobden) who battled to scrape a winning draw over Milford 2. It was very well fought match, not quite on the scale of centre court but an important win none the less.

EDLTCC hosted the first Tennis Holiday Weekend for 17 male players from Surrey. Matt Henley wrote 'Amazing weekend thank you. You have a lovely club. All members very friendly and the staff behind the bar and chef gave brilliant customer service throughout. You have a fab working team in this area.'

It was a bumper afternoon's Mini Tennis action at East Dorset today with 16 players competing in both the 8U and 9U events! Well done everyone for battling through the windy conditions and congratulations to our medallists Sophia & Nicholas (8U) and Oliver & Eliza (9U)! 🥇🥈

Roll over Rafa, there was some tough competition on the clay courts at East Dorset this afternoon in the Grade 5 18U Boys Singles... and congratulations to medallists Alexandre & Antonio, vamos!

There were some exciting matches in the Grade 5 Mens Singles tournament too with both semi finals being decided 10-9 in the third set tiebreak! 14 players took part and congratulations to Owen for winning another close match against Marcin in the final 🎾👍

There was some superb tennis at East Dorset this weekend. The U10 county cup for girls competition showcased some hard fought matches with Dorset narrowly beating Avon in an exciting final. Other counties included Cornwall, Wiltshire, Devon and Somerset. Well done everyone.

Great evening in the bar tonight with a 6-2 win by our First mixed team against West Hants and the same for the Ladies 3rd team over St Leonards. Well done everyone.

Good luck to all the counties competing in this weekend's 10U County Cup at East Dorset... it's going to be a bumper weekend of competition tennis with a 14U Road to Wimbledon event and a Grade 5 Men's Singles tournament also on Sunday!
