Very nice pool and staff are very helpful and friendly.

User

The best pool ever, swimming lessons and majority of teachers are 5* and it's rare to find a complaint.

User

I love the leisure centre, its amazing value for money. I especially value the lovely ladies in the crèche who have cared for both of my children over the past 5 years.

It is however quite hard to get through on the phone to book the crèche and it gets booked up super fast, a week in advance. Often people don't turn up to use their place and don't contact to cancel for whatever reason. Possibly as the phone lines are busy.

I know for child protection reasons the crèche cannot be booked by the phone app but could a function be added to allow people to see what crèche slot they have booked and be able to CANCEL it via the app of they can't make it please?

User

Couldn’t rate ELC highly enough. The gym is well equipped and the staff upstairs are great. Always approachable and knowledgable. The creche ladies are friendly, professional and go above and beyond. My son adores going there and I get a chance to train with confidence that he is being looked after. The centre is great value for money, especially the swim lessons. (Julie is ace too)

User

Ive been going to Easton leisure centre for over 15 years, mostly to swim. As a single adult i was always happy with the pool and services there. i now have children in swimming lessons and its not been all smooth but ultimately they are learning to swim and enjoying the lessons. Two issues have been tricky - at times the instructors have changed frequently which has delayed progress, particularly in stage 4 and 5. The other issue is payments and it would be really useful to customers for a better description regarding the direct debit set up/close down for kids swimming lessons. The reference of 'one month in advance' is easy to misinterpret as it can be up to 2 months that payment is taken for ie the month you are in and the following month. I just think if a few words could be added to clarify what you mean by 'one month in advance' as its quite different to what is usually meant ie it could be up to 2 months to pay up front - also useful to explain what happens when u finish/cancel it at the end. Saves any bad feeling due to being confused.

User

Honestly, I've only used the pool, the viewing area and the reception area so can't comment as to the classes/clubs run there. I like the pool - not too much chlorine in there and the baby pool is just the right heat for small kids. Lifeguards are attentive & helpful and stop any stupid behaviour pretty quickly. Only downsides are the dirt on the changing room floor from shoes (which could be easily remedied with a quick hose down every now & then) and people need to be made to have a quick rinse under the shower before geting in the pool ( I once swam behind a lady with too much hairspray - the taste was vile!) In general though, my family and I are happy to keep swimming there every other weekend

User

Excellent place to take my baby for a swim small pool is always clean and inviting - nice local community too!

User

not very clean. impossible to speak to anyone on the phone, navigation on web site difficult. the worst thing 45 mins in the pool. we went yesterday afternoon it was very quiet so why kick you out after that short time when the pool has so few people in. not impressed

User

I was not told they was closing for lunch! Paid for my grandson and son..20 mins all they had. now if I was told that they was closing for lunch soon.. I would of come to the afternoon session. Sorry very poor communication so yep disappointed.

User

I don't know what to say as was passing through whilst my grandson's were having swimming lessons, but I will say it's has changed alot since I used to be a member; the building could do with a revamp to make it more appealing, many friends I know have left and are members elsewhere; I think the only deeming feature is it has a pool!

To summarise can't comment on classes/ activities but building needs a make over!

Easton Leisure Centre is a bit of a mixed bag. A lot of things are very good, others are appalling.

Female changing rooms: ok, but often grubby. Dirt on the floor, lots of hair and stains in the showers, leaky toilet (left cubicle). Took nearly a year for light bulbs in the shower to be replaced. No lockers. These are located outside which is quite inconvenient.

Gym classes: tried quite a few so far and had very mixed experience. Tuesday & Thursday Pilates with Sabrina is fantastic, as is Sunday morning Pilates with Sam. Both very good instructors, very knowledgeable and looking after the participants. Wednesday Core Express with Mark is also good. Doesn't feel quite as caring with regards to making sure you're not hurting yourself but if you have done exercise before you should be good. Yoga with Kate on Thursday is great. You feel looked after and well relaxed afterwards. Aerobics on Thursday ( I think it's Sharon) was disappointing. More running back and forth and marching on the spot than aerobics. Except she puts you on the side with her favourites. Then you get slightly more aerobics. I felt as if I've accidentally booked Circuits. Saturday Dynamic Yoga with Said was scary. Gave him 2 chances and will never go again. Both classes very similar and full of dangerous pseudoscience. He said in both classes that we have to lower our oxygen levels in the blood because it is bad for us and causes anxiety. Instead we should increase our CO2 levels as it will calm us. He also promoted not to reach out to others when suffering from mental health issues but to try and solve it by yourself. I nearly walked out of the class. In general, the studio is fine ecxept that half the spotlights have been broken for months. The Crèche is disgusting as an exercise room and should be avoided if possible. Grubby carpet, smelly, no mirrors. Also the mats for Yoga etc are quite old and could do with a replacement. Lots of virtual classes, which are pointless. If I want to do unsupervised exercise, I can do it at home. Too much risk of injuries without a qualified instructor being present.

All in all, it can sometimes be a bit hit and miss, but there are definitely some very good classes available and one should give it a go.

User

Most of sports hall have hitting system not in easton -5 cold not hitting it's really cold main hall please can you look this matter. Players got more injured because of cold also draft on floor because of really cold inside.

User

First time I'd been here in quite a few years and can't believe everything is still the same - just as run down as it used to be. The whole place needs a complete revamp and update!

User

The showers and toilets needs a good clean sometimes there's no soap to wash your hands. - the showers need repairing doors etc.

The staff dip a blue bucket in the swimming pool to wash the entrance to the pool floor unhygienic, and they put it on the same floor their cleaning with the pool water.

They constantly ask People to wear shoe covers to prevent dirty around the pool area, and the staff don't wear it (terrible)

Not everyone wash before entering the pool this needs to monitored by staff - the staff are very complacent they need to ensure this is happening. The staff need to think hygiene, germs and be more vigilant.

User

Our family has been using the facilities here for a while now and to tell you the truth, we are not best pleased. I have seen a number of issues over the last few months.

On Sunday we bought a child and adult ticket for swimming. My child entered the childrens pool and as I tried to enter a staff member said in a raised voice, Excuse me", as I turned towards her she walked over to me and aggressively said that my ticket does not allow me to enter the childrens pool. She turned to leave, I asked her a question about this, she then turned very aggressively towards me and waved her arm at me and in a raised voice said, "YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND, THIS TICKET DOES NOT LET YOU IN THIS POOL" . With that I was so embarrassed that I removed my child from the pool. Not very professional in front of my child, other young ears and other parents. She did not try to answer my question or understand that she had mishandled the situation. A staff member to avoid me thinks. During my swimming session I did notice that there were other swimmers in the childrens pool using the same wrist band tickets that I had, however she had issued them with a childrens pool ticket band aswell. Good to know that I was probably singled out.

I have witnessed other staff members at the front desk using aggressive language towards customers and threatening them with security. I was standing behind this person and guarantee you that the customer was not confrontational, he pointed out a mistake made by the member of staff, he received a confrontational attitude from her and the threat of security being called. I have worked in many offices, staff only get away with this if the management team have similar attitudes. Hence no point in complaining to managers as there is honour amongst thieves.

The list could go on but I'm sure nothing will change and shortly Easton leisure Centre will give the same lip service, they will thank me for my comments and will look to improve the service. Heard it all before, nothing changes... Maybe I will try different sports centre, now there's a thought...

My husband and I came here on Saturday and were bitterly disappointed.

- the changing rooms and toilets were absolutely disgusting. Wet toilet paper on the floor, dirty stains on the bench and floor....

- nobody informed us at reception that we would only get 45 minutes. This was my first time here. I was handed a green band at reception but didn't know that when the green sign was held up, that was my cue to leave. 45 minutes for £4.50? Extortionate!

- We also wanted to use the lanes for swimming. This was fine to start with when there was only 4 swimmers, but when numbers increased, it became a little cramped, to the point where other new swimmers decided to swim alongside the lane in the main part of the pool. When I asked if the lane could be moved over a bit (it was placed at less that a 1/4 of the pool), the lifeguard said there weren't enough swimmers in the lane...that was because several of them were in the main pool! She then said "well they need to come into the main bit...we need 10 swimmers to extend it". 7 was cramped!

Overall a bitterly disappointing start to my new swimming regime and I certainly won't be retuning or recommending it to anyone.

I registered online in November , where I paid for registration fee and the first month. In December they charged me way more, and when asked why, I was told there is one month to pay in advance with the registration fee (which wasn't told on their page at all!) and the big payment is November and December together. I cancelled straight away this overcharged and not helpful gym, and I will go to the bank to get all of my money back, because I wouldn't sign in at all if I was knew that. Highly not recommend to pay for that 'service', not to mention that tbe receptionist just quit my phone call when I made my complain so I had to go in to do it in person...!
