This gorgeous cat belongs to one of our Veterinary Nurses, Erica. Despite Trolley’s beautiful appearance, Trolley was originally a wild farm cat and loves being outside, she now also loves a cuddle after receiving a lot of TLC, time and patience from Erica.

Do you know the weight of your pet? Don’t forget it is always free to come in, say hello and weigh your animal. We find that a pet that does this regularly is less stressed when coming in for any treatment. The nurses love to see them, give them a treat and a cuddle at any time💚

Our farm and equine team are raising funds this year to Send a Cow to Africa. Phil, one of our KFE vets, is running The Plague to help with the fund raising. So at 5 minutes past midnight on 10th August he will be competing in the event known as the Plague. He will run 2 full marathon distances - 64 miles - on the hills and steps of the south Cornish coast path and then have best part of a half marathon distance to do before the finish with the aim to be home in time to put his 2 children to bed on Saturday night! Allen and just a few of our team that were at Eden celebrating a successful evening raising funds for Hounds For Heroes - our Kernow Pet Health Club current chosen charity. Thank you so much for attending and your generosity in helping us raise over £600 on the night from the raffle for such a superb charity. We were also able to give a further £60 raised from our Waist Watchers campaign - results soon to be announced - watch the results as rumor has it that it is one of the ...Ellis clients that has won!!! And a massive £1680 raised thanks to help from Bayer - makers of Advocate - enabling us to donate for each new Pet Health Club member sign up. And dont forget to join us at the Bodmin Charity Dog Show on the 12th August - a fun day out for you and your pals - plus a chance to further help us raise funds for the Hounds For Heroes charity with another great raffle

We had a lovely evening at the Eden Project last night at our Pet Health Club Summer Event raising money for Hounds for Heroes. We got to meet and listen to the inspiring Allen Parton who founded the charity and learnt how his amazing dogs helped him to recover from a life changing injury that happened when he was in the forces. After a successful night we raised over £600 for this very worthy cause Hounds for Heroes thank you to all our clients who could make the event, we hope you enjoyed it as much as us.

One of Our Veterinary Nurses Nicole will be taking her dog walking shoes off this weekend to put her hiking boots on and will be walking 100km along the Jurassic Coast over 2 days to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

While we were on holiday and my dogs were lodging with a lovely lady in Liskeard my Bichon had to have emergency treatment and was taken to Ellis Vets. The care and attention she received was excellent, so good in fact, that we have transferred our two dogs to Ellis Vets. The staff are so friendly and Helen was really nice and explained everything as for the cost I could not believe how much cheaper Ellis Vets are compared to my previous vets.

We have known David for very many years , all our pets have been treated by him or one of the team . Sadly , my five year old Labrador has lymphoma , which is very distressing for us as we only lost another much loved dog seven months ago . However , we take much comfort in knowing that when his quality of life is affected, our lovely Sam will be treated with care and dignity .

Thank you to Pippa and the dedicated team who have gone above and beyond to save the life of my beloved cat who was unfortunately diagnosed with cancer just before Christmas. It was a very difficult operation due to where the tumour was situated but the team over come the difficulties in front of them and safely removed the whole tumour so she's currently cancer free. Your all amazing and do an outstanding job. Thank you from Molly for giving her life back.

Sad day today as my dog has been very poorly. I saw a very kind gentleman vet who explained everything with such patience . He listened to my wishes and understood completely . Also the cost was very reasonable. Thank you everyone a really lovely place x

I phoned up yesterday morning to book an appointment for that day and I was seen within the hour. I was also running late which was not an issue when I arrived. Great customer service and I know my puppy is in safe hands.

I have found little has changed since David has left the practice. The same lovely helpful staff are there to do their best for our animals & I think they are continuing to do so, regardless of who owns the business. Thanks from our family we shall continue visiting.

I have always used David Ellis for many years, I have always found him & staff very helpful. Haven't been in for a while, so didn't know David had finished we've had many laughs over the years.

Unfortunately our lovely Jimmie cat has a inoperable mass in his tummy we know the end is coming , but David and his friendly team have managed to give us some extra time to bid our boy good nite and when the time comes they will help us send him across that rainbow bridge

As a child, my family used David and myself as an adult, he and his team are brilliant, I wouldn't use anyone else for the many pets over the years. Very down to earth and caring.

okay for looking after animals but animals saftey and protection is bad . Had a couple of animals which have escaped .

Sadly since the vet's has been taken over it really seems to have become more about the money than the welfare of the animals... David used to be able to do pretty much everything on-site and now pets and owners have far more trauma by having to kennel in Pelynt and then to St.Austell. When my puppy had an accident for the first time ever I sought a 2nd opinion and was so very glad I did as surgery was completed 24 hours quicker and a lot cheaper without the worry of kennelling her. I have still given them a 3 as the staff were helpful and friendly and she was looked after well for the short time she was in their care. Such a shame as I trusted David with the care of all my animals for such a long time. We will not be using a more local vet!
