Morpho Butterflies Helped Inspire Human Technology
The Amazon rainforest is the most biodiverse environment on Earth, home to an incredible array of captivating creatures that truly have to be seen to be believed. Due to their size & striking beauty, the blue morpho butterflies are one of the most emblematic & favourite of all Amazon species with its characteristic vivid blue color & shiny wings with black edging

Finding Trainee BMS Engineers:
Finding the right apprentice with the willingness to learn a difficult & complex skill set in the BMS trade is a difficult enough task when our industry doesn’t really have a bespoke Apprenticeship Scheme where there is a natural influx of talent, however on occasions the right type of candidate will cross your path and completely take you by surprise.
We have been extremely lucky in that sense as we have had many such talented young engineers o...ver the last 15 years or so.
Pictured Far Right is one such example of a young man Jason Bennett who approached me some 5 or 6 years ago now who I gave a chance, simply because he had the right attitude towards work and in particular an eager willingness to learning new skills and whom I helped to develop into a superb BMS project engineer.
Pictured left is our newest recruit Jake Parker who has been with us for 6 weeks now and again demonstrated those same early indicators during an interview that he would be suitable to take up such a challenging Apprenticeship in the BMS world and he is already showing early signs of becoming an excellent student and is already thinking outside the box so to speak with day to day problems that we have encountered.
Jake is the younger brother of Nathan Parker whom I also trained and is now a senior engineer in the data centre world of BMS.
I used to joke about making a cloning machine so that there could be more of me to help deliver BMS solutions, however these do not yet exist so the next best thing is to pass on as much knowledge to as many trainees and apprentices as you can in your working life.

We start with a BMS points list.........
No matter how big or small the project, we always start with a BMS points list. Even if there is a BMS points list detailed in the tender documents, sometimes something will get missed off so it’s good practice to double check and verify the specified control requirements by creating your own BMS points list.
