Love Exeter and love the Phoenix.... we go there often as they have a good diary of bands performing. It's a great venue, great atmosphere and big enough to be able to see who's on and feel part of it all. We booked late this time & so could only get tickets on the balcony - it was made very clear when we booked that we had to remain seated which once we found our seats made perfect sense due to the vertiginous nature of the seating! I was more than happy to bop about in my seat!! Can't understand people criticising about other guests drunken behaviour- that's something you get anywhere & not the fault of the venue. The staff are completely professional whenever we've been there - they step in when necessary and it's a thankless task - I wouldn't want to do it!!!

Booked tickets to see various performances throughout the year on the 3rd June from your reception desk. I was served a very friendly man who introduced me to many events and activities held at your venue and shared his knowledge with me. This man couldn't have been more helpful and credit to 'The Phoenix' with his fantastic customer service.

The first event was Keith James who was absolutely Incredible, such a talented musician and performer. He played and sung from his soul which was very much appreciated by the audience as we shared our thoughts throughout the interval and after the show.

Thank you for a wonderful evening and I looking forward to the next event 😀🎸🎶🎤

User

Always love the Phoenix. Some great acts, a bar that sells a decent selection of beer from decent bar staff and generally a good atmosphere.

User

Another great evening at the Phoenix, apart from an unfortunate broken seat issue & the usual probs with the loos. People, please make a donation to the funding appeal! For little more than the price of a coffee at Starbucks you can help refurb this wonderful venue and give it the TLC it needs to make it even better.

User

A wonderful evening of laughing so much I ached with the ' Exeter Cabaret Show'. Some audience members drunk ( 2 bottles of wine downed by the couple Sat in front of us during the first half of the show ) to the point that they just talked throughout spoiling it for those Sat around them. Phoenix is a wonderful all round venue BUT please sort the toilets out - they are embarrassing and stink !

Overall though, the Phoenix is an asset to our city as an entertainment venue. :-)

User

Attended lucy spraggon on Saturday, staff behind the bar were friendly and helpful but unfortunately that's where it ended. Asked at the cloakroom where we queue for the seating area to which we were told to go sit in the bar until till the show starts. Didn't want to so followed everyone else, directed upstairs and told where seats are. Toilets were messy and the smell of urine was overwhelming in the ladies toilet.

User

Attended a fantastic course here over the last two days - excellent tutor and really good value. Coffee in the cafe was good, but the whole place - and especially the toilets - needed a really good clean. Loos were dirty even first thing in the morning, and tables in cafe weren’t cleared or wiped down regularly. A shame, as it gives a poor impression of the place.

User

All I'll say is revamp ya toilets they're the worst I've ever seen .anywhere..other wise great venue

User

The room where the gig's are in is far to small and claustrophobic and has no seating. Been there 3 times now and won't be going again...
