New receptionist covering Saturday morning whilst Mum and Dad decorate the clinic tree 😊

One of our Osteopaths, Ellie has been treating babies & children at the Chestnut Childrens Centre. She was asked a little while ago to be interviewed for a short film about Exeter Community Initiatives (ECI). Please do watch & share, especially if you know of anyone who would be interested in volunteering. Its a marvellous charity that helps support some of the most vulnerable people in Exeter.

Spring has officially sprung, with this tempting warm weather I'm sure most people are eager to tackle their gardens. Before ploughing into that overgrown greenery, make sure you limber up. Stretch the shoulders, back & make sure you have some support for any kneeling. We see plenty of gardening related injuries, and the main thing is to pace yourself.... you have time, we may have a "bbq" summer after all.

Looking forward in the management of Chronic Fatigue/ ME! There's large study currently being conducted into whether Cognitive Behavioural Therapy can be used as a treatment for Chronic Fatigue/ ME. There's been promising results already from a recent smaller study.
Most people with Chronic Fatigue suffer with aches & pains, complimentary therapies such as osteopathy can be a useful treatment for helping manage these symptoms

I visited the clinic recently and saw David Stainer-Smith due to being unable to run for almost 2 months due to sciatic-type pain. I'd tried rest, stretching, painkillers, core exercises and simply gritting my teeth but with no joy, even a short run had me in lots of pain in my back and upper legs. The thorough, expert examination and subsequent treatment I had from David has really worked. I ran 5 miles the day after my visit and another 5 miles the following day! Having been unable to run for weeks, the transformation has been remarkable and I cannot recommend David and the clinic highly enough!
