About Filton Vets4Pets

Our philosophy is clear; we aim to always:

-Treat each pet like family
-Offer pets the same care we would want for ourselves
-Inform our customers how better pet care extends lives and saves money

The practice itself is spacious, modern and well equipt with x-ray and blood testing machines on site helping to provide same day results for our patients. If your pet needs to stay with us at the practice we have specially designed seperate dog and cat wards. Should your pet require medication we carry an extensive stock and can usually order drugs in for next day collection. A written prescription service is also available on request.

In the waiting room we have a childrens play area, and with the practice all being one level there is easy access to all of its facilities, including the disabled toilet. There is also ample parking at the shield retail centre next to the practice.

Both Vet and Nurse consultations are by appointment, which can now be requested online via the Vets4Pets website. Outside of surgery hours we use a dedicated specialist emergency service. In cases of emergencies outside of practice hours please phone the usual number (0117 969 8400) and there will be details of how to contact the emergency service on the answer machine.

This is rocky, he is a very gorgeous but mischevious cavapoo crossbreed that loves to get himself into trouble! Rocky has been on the road to recovery recently after eating a whole coat hanger, apart from the metal hook! Who would of thought that would taste so good?
Unfortunately for Rocky he had to go to the emergency vets and have surgery to remove all the chewed up and broken shards of plastic from his stomach. He was feeling very sorry for himself after the surgery but has not dampened his spirits. Now rocky is feeling much better and has got rid of the buster collar and his petmedical shirt.

We now have VETSKITCHEN treats, for cats and dogs in practice. They come in a variety of flavours and are irrestistable. Come get them while stock lasts!

This is Gizmo, over the past few weeks/ months he has been visiting us reguarly. He used to be scared of all the vets and nurses but after some behaviour training with our head nurse Rachel he is doing much better. It helps if theres lots of treats but having his booster vaccination wasnt so scary this time! Good work team and good work to Gizmo and his hard working family! Hes such a happy boy and so nice to see him come in to the vets without stressing out.

User

You can always tell how good the vets are by how they deal with you when you have to have the animal you love put down, very caring and the lady on reception is a credit to the vets

User

We cannot thank these guys at filton enough, we phoned at 10am weds morning as we were concerned about our cavachon Bailey we had an appt for 11am. We got there to find the staff quite stressed, understandably so as they had suffered a break in the night before, this did not affect the concern and help we were given for Bailey, who unfortunately had to stay in for further treatment. We picked her up a few hours later with still a poorly pup but much improved from earlier. Stefan gave us lots of advice and reassurance with the feeling that nothing was a problem. I cannot recommend this practice enough.

Very impressed... I've taken my rabbit a few times for her vaccinations and to be spayed and the checkups after and I've been so impressed by how kind and friendly and knowledgeable the vets are. Although your pet is obviously one of many appointments they have in a day you never get that feeling when you see them.

This veterinary surgery is fantastic, I highly recommend it. Michael Parry has been a vet to my 2 dogs for the past 7 years....I always said from the beginning that I trusted him 100%, something that's so important should a difficult decision ever have to made. Recently my cocker spaniel Boris had to undergo surgery to have his spleen removed due to cancer. Michael was so professional & so caring and he totally had Boris's best interest at heart. Sadly, just 6 weeks later the cancer had aggressively spread to Boris's liver & the awful time came when we knew he was beaten. I can't thank Michael & his team enough for their professionalism, knowledgable advice & their love of the animals. It was the saddest day of my life when Michael came out to my house to put Boris to sleep, but Michael was so calm, caring & compassionate & because of my trust in him I knew we were doing the right thing by relieving Boris of all his pain, as heartbreaking as it was. Thank you.

Thank you to everyone at Filton Vets 4 Pets regarding your help with Maisy I was seen the same day I phoned. Michael explained everything in great detail making sure I understood what was going on. The staff were welcoming and very friendly. When treatment didn't work and Maisy had to be put to sleep, it was very traumatic for everyone involved. Afterwards he let me leave through a quieter exit. When I called a few days later to pay, Karen was lovely and let me pay over the phone so I didn't have to go back. Today I received a lovely card from Michael expressing his sympathy which was a really lovely gesture. It's obvious that Michael loves what he does and he is very good at his job. IF I get any more animals, I will not be going anywhere else! Thank you

User

Quick thinking, true support and pure love for animals is why I trust them all as our vets! Thank you for everything

User

Michael is the best. V caring for all the animals that come through his doors also for the 'mum's n dads' of all the patients. We are v lucky to have such a great vet.

User

Michael diagnosed and operated to remove a tumour from my pet within 24 hours of her first showing symptoms. Very professional, knowledgeable and dedicated.

User

Michael and Jelena are the best, they have a great team working with them, they always make you and your pet feel welcome, when I had to have my cat Heskey put to sleep, Jelena and Rachel came to my home, I didn't feel I had to rush to say goodbye to him, they did it when I was ready, it was all done peacefully in his environment with him in my arms, and now when I take his Sister Sky to the vets and get all emotional if I have to leave her for the day, I get a hug from Jelena but I know that my Sky is in excellent hands with such a wonderful team, even if I didn't have any pets I would still pop in with biscuits to say Hello

User

I saw Michael Parry after bad advice from my previous vet for a second opinion. I now have swapped my vets!! He was so Shar Pei savvy and I highly recommend any Pei owner to see him.

User

I cannot thank Filton's Vets4pets enough. My cat was taken there this week by a Neighbour after being run over. There compassion to me and there customer service was oustanding I am not even a customer of there's but I will be from now on with my other cat. I will certainly recomend them. Thank you Sam Garfield's owner.

User

I can not thank Jelena enough for helping we with the care of my diabetic cat Tiger. She is caring and sensitive and such a brilliant vet, she helped support me to make difficult decisions that were the best for both of my cats when it was time to say good bye, even making time to fit us in when she was fully booked on a Saturday, I can't praise her enough!

User

I can highly recommend Michael, he is extremely professional and takes his time to explain all options available. I can't thank him enough for sorting a long standing problem with my cat Narnia.

User

Can not praise these vets enough My dog Pippin wasn't well We seen Kate She was fab My grandson pleaded to have a few more hours with her Katy gave her a pain killer to help We had our last 5 hours at the park Pippin favourite place lots of photos We returned with my grandson 13 The staff arranged for us in a quiet room where we spent some more time Katy came in and put Pippin to sleep with another member of staff My grandson was brave until Pippin died in his arms It was a hard time for Katy as well to see my grandson brake down and myself but she held it together and returned We had a cup of tea and showed us out a side Door I thank these people from my grandson and myself Difficult job Well done vets 4 pets Filton

User

Been worrying about my new kitten violet and the staff have been great highly recommend these vets. Swapped to this vets around a month ago, lovely staff

User

At first I had left a bad review due to not understanding the vacs for life scheme. I needed it explained properly to me. But Michael took the time to call me seperately and explain it all thoroughly to make sure that I understood all the options available.
