What is a Man'oushé? 🤔
The man'oushé is the quintessential Lebanese food. Derived from the Arabic word na'sh which refers to the way the finger tips of the baker “engraves” the dough. Satisfying and tasty, it is truly a classless commodity. Tiny bakeries across the Lebanon sell this disc of dough pressed flat and baked with Zaatar (VG), Akkawi Cheese (V), Beef or Spinach (VG). Man’oushés are topped with your choice of lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, gherkins and mint l...eaves.
But that’s not all! We also serve the sweet man’oushé (VG), a wrap with honey, nutella, halawé or peanut butter, topped with your choice of blueberries, kiwis, strawberries, bananas and crushed nuts.
In case you’re wondering, Halawé is a sweet sesame paste, and it literally means ‘sweetness’ in Arabic.
