Fordingbridge Day Nursery

The Robins children have been keeping cool this week, splashing in the paddling pool and making water slides!

The children love learning about the chicks and how to look after them properly.

This week at forest school we have been keeping cool by playing in the shaded wood, and having lots of water play out. We have also made lip balm from natural ingredients!

Our first two chicks have arrived!

We are so excited, our eggs have started to crack. Hopefully we will have some chicks tomorrow.

Nuthatches and Kingfishers have been thoroughly enjoying the warm weather this week. We have had lots of big splashing water play to keep us cool as well as exploring climbing equipment and messy play in our new tuft tray! Our flower and herb garden is also in full bloom now.

Woodpeckers Preschool had the most amazing afternoon at their leavers party! A huge thank you to The Creature Teachers for coming and making our party extra special!

Summer Party! We really love hostining our parties for all the families to enjoy!

This week at forest school, we have been making lavender wreaths and rose water perfume!

Everyone had so much fun at our Summer Party on Saturday. Our families enjoyed horse and cart rides, bouncy castles, hook a duck game, face painting, soak a friend and a treasure hunt as well as a hog roast, fruit kebabs, cakes, ice cream and Pimms for the adults. We can't wait for next year!

The Robins have had a lovely time playing outside today and keeping cool in the shade!

Over the last few weeks Robins have been preparing their own snack. They were shown how to handle a knife carefully, listening well to all the instructions.

Robin's have released the Butterflies!

Today the Robin's children released the Butterflies. We were all very excited to see them fly.

This week at forest school we enjoyed the muddy puddles and making dinosaur eggs out of natural clay!

Our Woodpeckers Preschool children have been very busy with their new topic of 'Africa'. The children have been looking at different animal prints and trying to replicate them as well as exploring African music and animals found in Africa. Great work Woodpeckers!
