Frankie Jacks Fish & Chips

I write this post with a tear in my eye. Frankie Jacks will not be opening this Sunday. Many engineers and specialists have looked over our frying range and are quite frankly appalled with its condition. The unit has received no love or care for quite some time resulting in lots of minor faults, which can be easily bodged, but will be un-insurable and a complete fire hazard. We have no choice but to buy a new frying range, this will delay our grand opening by around 2 mont...hs.. ☹️😞 Our thanks go out to everyone who has been a part of the journey so far and to our prospective employees who i embarrassingly had to indiviually call to explain the problem. Our take away now sits with completely clean appliances throughout, clean walls/floors, complete canopy and ducting clean, half a ton of spuds, and enough pickled eggs to feed a small army!! Alot of blood, sweat and tears have gone into this development in the last couple of weeks and our emotions are running at an all time high. We shall regroup, remain positive and come back in a couple of months with THE best Fish and Chip shop this country has seen!! Sorry for getting your hopes up but thankyou very much for your ongoing support, stay tuned for progress reports as and when.

Our aim is to serve high quality food at everyday prices, using only sustainably sourced fish, orangutan friendly Palm Oil (CSPO certified) and 100% PLASTIC FREE packaging!!

Job vacancies are as follows:
Fryers x2 - Salary - £18-22,000 per annum 40 hours per week
Serving/Packing - Wage - min wage +10% Shift Hours - 3.50pm until 9.20pm
Delivery Drivers - Wage - £10/hour + bonuses £10 fuel allowance each night + per drop bonus Shift hours - 4pm until 9pm
Holiday/Sick pay - Pension schemes.
Experience not essential but would be hugely beneficial.
