Today is Parental Alienation Awareness Day.
Along with many other organisations, we want to spread awareness about Parental Alienation and how it affects relationships between a child, or children and their parents. Parental Alienation is recognised as when a child’s rejection or hostility to one parent is not justified but is instead the result of manipulation by the other parent. If the child is being coached to hold feelings of resentment against one parent, this will ine...vitably affect the relationship they have with that parent.
Alienating behaviours most often accompany high conflict marriages, separation or divorce.
To spread awareness, our Ben Tisdall has met with leading family barrister, Sarah Evans. Check out the link below to see them discussing the issue of Parental Alienation.
