Future Sound Systems is a small, independent, musical device manufacturer based in Bristol, England. FSS has been developing unique designs and ideas in sound since 2005. Our first award was handed to us in 2014, for a paper on voltage controlled filter topologies.

Look what arrived today! The first FIL3s begin shipping next week!
We’ve currently got the pick and place machine on pin matrix duties! Here’s a bunch of “output” matrix cards for the MTX9 being assembled. Certainly makes a massive difference having these made in-house now!
We're currently building stock of our FIL3 Spectral Devastator! Shipping as soon as we receive panels for a lovely silky white boards we're populating right now. In the meantime, here's a run-through of how it sounds with our future Cyclical Engine VCO.

We’ll be at Rough Trade Bristol this Sunday for the SW Synth Meet! Come nerd out in the afternoon, then get your groove on in the evening.
Oh my goodness. This is the start of a big change for FSS - an automated pick and place machine. This will be taking care of the majority of assembly for us now, yet we’ll still be doing final assembly by hand, in-house, and fully testing every module before shipping. Here’s to the future 🍻
Over the next few weeks, we expect the back-log of orders on the Gristleizer modules to be cleared! A huge thank you to everyone who has placed orders since the announcement, especially to those who have been (and are still being) incredibly patient. Your support means that we’ve been able to invest in machinery that will drastically improve and speed up our assembly line, whilst keeping it all in house in Bristol, UK. Come July, we expect to have good stock of our product catalogue. Watch this space!
