GAC Pindar is the go-to provider of integrated specialist services and the official logistics provider for the Extreme Sailing Series and World Sailing - the governing body for sailing.

In 2017, we were appointed Official Logistics Provider for the Volvo Ocean Race 2017-18, following our successful performance for the 2014-15 race. GAC Pindar is the first company ever to be appointed Official Logistics Provider for the second time in the 44-year history of the iconic race.

The Sailing Team

GAC Pindar’s race winning sailing team is skippered by the six-time Match Racing World Champion Ian Williams. He is currently competing in the M32 Scandinavia Series in GAC Pindar’s own M32 catamaran. Earlier in 2017, Ian wore the coveted Crimson Blazer for the third time having won the 53rd Congressional Cup, and goes on to compete in the remaining World Match Racing Tour, hoping to make it a seventh world title.

Pindar

Pindar has been a well-established name in the marine leisure market since its first ever sports sponsorship of The North Sea Race in 1980. Pindar went on to sponsor Emma Sanderson (née Richards) in the 2002-03 Around Alone Race, and continues to support sailing from grass roots and local community projects to match racing and global offshore events at the pinnacle of the sport.

We work closely with many dinghy classes, sailing federations and professional sailing teams to bring part container loads of equipment together on common routing, reducing the overall number of containers required. This reduces the number of hauliers on the road on that route. This may be small fry but it is a start.
