Do you recognise the items pictured?
We were called at around 6.30pm last night (Thursday), as a member of the public spotted the occupants of an unknown vehicle attempting to retrieve the items from the hard shoulder of the M5 southbound slip road at junction 9.
Due to this being a busy carriageway, officers from our Specialist Operations team later recovered the items and would now like to return them to their owner as we do not have any details of who they belong to.
... If you recognise the items, know who they may belong to or saw the vehicle which was trying to retrieve them please call 101 quoting incident 403 of 23 May.

Courier fraud is when you're called by someone pretending to be from your bank, who convinces you to disclose your card details over the phone. They arrange for a courier to pick up your card to ‘take it away for evidence’ or to ‘have it destroyed’, but in reality they withdraw money from your account.
Your bank or the police will never ask you to disclose your personal details or PIN by phone. They will also never send a courier to your home to collect your bank card or any... other items.
If you’ve received a call from your ‘bank’ that doesn’t seem quite right you should call your bank to check using a number known to you, not one provided by the caller. You should wait five minutes before calling your bank as fraudsters may stay on the line after you hang up.
If you think you’ve been a victim of courier fraud, or any other type of fraud, you can report it online here: http://bit.ly/OpSignature

A man has been sentenced to three years and six months in prison after pleading guilty to a burglary which took place at Clarendon Fine Art in Stow-on-the-Wold in March.
Jamie Anthony Nash, 41 and of Bristol Road South in Birmingham pleaded guilty to one count of burglary after appearing at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court on Tuesday 19 March.
Police were called to Clarendon Fine Art in Stow-on-the-Wold shortly before 3.30am on Tuesday 5 March following reports of a burglary.
... Nash was arrested in connection with this on Friday 8 March after officers from our Scenes of Crime team found DNA evidence at the scene of the burglary.
He was sentenced at Gloucester Crown Court on Friday 10 May and was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge fee of £175 .
Investigating Officer Jessica Bull said: "This was a high value burglary with artwork totalling £44,975 having been taken. Unfortunately no artwork has been recovered at this stage.
"However, hopefully today’s sentencing provides some justice for the art gallery and for all the artists whose works have been stolen."
Crime Scene Co-coordinator Martin Cuffe said: "This is an excellent example of the joined up working within Gloucestershire Constabulary.
"From the initial attending officers who secured and preserved the scene; the Forensic team who recovered and submitted key items of forensic evidence which led to the identification of the suspect, and then the work of our Investigations and Force Crime Ops Team, who worked together to secure a prompt arrest and charge of this offender.
"This joint effort allowed us to secure valuable evidence to support a prosecution and has prevented this individual from committing further offences and from causing further harm to our community."
