went to this pub last night for first time with friends. food excellent..staff very friendly..lovely old fashioned family run pub...meat draw on fridays..brilliant..would recommend this to all...defintely going again.
We stopped at the Golden Bowler for some food for the first time. All the meals were lovely. Great portion sizes.
Great atmosphere! Will definitely be back in the near future.
We had a lovely meal, all freshly cooked and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend you try it
Our breakfasts consisted of, three veggie sausages, two eggs, beans, fresh tomatoes, fresh mushrooms, and fried bread, and we had a sneaky bowl of home made chips on the side :) Lovely friendly staff, laid back music and a cosy environment means we shall visit soon, their lunch and dinner menu looks lovely! Glad we stopped off on the way through to the seafront.
One of my favorite places. Very sentimental ,as we had our wedding dinner here 10 years ago. Food is excellent. Not fancy food, but real comfort food at its best. Everyone is friendly and welcoming and you never meet a stranger here. An added bonus was the Friday night meat raffle! Great fun and I brought home a gorgeous gammon joint to boot!!!
My self & my husband took my inlaws for lunch there yesterday! And we weren't dissapointed�� lovely food & service�just as we were expecting from previous visits� thank you golden bowler! We will be back� xxx
Lovely meal, as a vegetarian I'm usually stitched up with a small portion of food in all restaurants... "The Golden Bowler" proved unique in the fact of serving up a decent portion! and a good selection of beers too. Well Done
Lovely lunch on Christmas Eve and have enjoyed some delicious gammon and boneless leg of lamb at home, courtesy of some lucky wins at the Friday night meat draw
Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, great hot food,highly recommend roast beef, service was spot on.
Highly recommend the Golden Bowler. The food is very good, with a varied and reasonably priced menu. A very nice comfortable relaxed environment. The staff are very friendly . Booked a table today for a family meal to celebrate my husbands 60 th Birthday .Thank you to the staff. Someone brought out the cake, and sung Happy Birthday.
Had my birthday meal here last night, they couldn't of been more helpful, great food and great service would recommend it to everyone. Many thanks

A steak so big I couldn't finish it! Really good food and friendly staff. Excellent value. My whitebait starter was one of the best I have eaten. Deserves 5�
A large group of us recently went to the Golden Bowler for an evening meal.
The food was excellent - and service was wonderful. Looking forward to going back for another meal and will make sure I have the sticky toffee pudding again.Thank you to Georgie and her staff for all your hard work.
A great pub restaurant The staff are lovely, polite, very helpful. The food was well cooked and delicious. Would recommend this to pub to anyone who wanted a good meal out.
Meal came very quickly, large portions and came very hot.

Had a lovely relaxed lunch, lovely food, well presented and tasty, just a little on the small side, glad I ordered the cheesey chips or would have been hungry afterwards.
Food was very good really enjoyed my meal , service very good, will be back to try few other things on menu
Not had long to wait before being served our lunch. Hate to say it but the staff were very unfriendly. Didn't see one smile between the pair of them. Most unwelcoming.
