Hackney Park Description
HACKNEY PARK is situated in a commanding and tranquil setting, two miles from the village of Sway and two miles from Lymington in an excellent touring and walking area. It is a delightful residence standing in its own grounds adjoining open New Forest heath with superb walks, rides and drives from the property.
The holiday flats are well equipped and cosy with full central heating. Prices are inclusive of electricity and heating. Beds are made up, but towels are not provided. There are first class stables and grazing as required available for those wishing to bring their own horses. Horse shoeing is carried out on the premises. There is also a choice of excellent Riding schools in the area.
The New Forest, immediately adjoins the property. It covers some 93, 000 acres, about half of which is magnificent woodlands. The remainder is open country of bracken, gorse, heather and extensive meadowland, crossed by streams, with uplands in the north affording fine views. Wildlife in the forest includes the famous ponies, several species of deer and most British mammals.
The National Park has provided well-signed footpaths, cycle routes and tastefully arranged car parks and picnic areas in some of the most beautiful parts of the New Forest.
Nearby Lymington, an attractive old town, offers excellent shopping facilities and restaurants. It is a lovely yachting and sailing town at the mouth of the Lymington River and is the mainland terminus of the shortest ferry route to the Isle of Wight. The High Street leading down to Town Quay has a busy market every Saturday.
There are many famous and interesting places to visit within easy reach. The Isle of Wight offers grand panoramic views and many outstanding attractions. Hackney Park is situated between the historic and renowned seaport of Southampton and the famous seaside resort of Bournemouth about 13 miles along the coast to the west. Here theatres, casinos, cinemas, bowling, piers, dances, boat cruises lovely gardens and excellent shopping are all found. Throughout the area there is an excellent, wide variety of restaurants and pubs offering food to suit all tastes and pockets.
Other local beauty spots include Christchurch Harbour, Beaulieu and Bucklers Hard. There are three good golf courses nearby. The nearest bathing beach is at Milford-on-Sea, four miles away, and excellent sandy beaches at Highcliffe and Mudeford are about six miles away.

Itโs pannage season in the New Forest, keep an eye out for these cheeky fellas ๐ up to 600 pigs and piglets will be out and about munching all the fallen nuts and acorns!

Itโs a beautiful sunny morning down at Lymington Quay, why not catch a boat cruise up the river or explore the lovely shops and restaurants. Lymington is the closest town to Hackney Park (just 8 mins up the road) where you can find all the essentials for your holiday stay
Today is the Wimbledon final ๐พ if your going to miss the tennis why not get yourselves down to Woodside Gardens and have your own tournament. And best of all itโs free!! Just a 9min drive or 16min cycle
