Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service’s most incredible and inspirational people from the last 12 months were honoured last night at our thirteenth annual Celebrating Success ceremony.
Certificates, medals and awards were handed out to staff from across the organisation during the event, held at the Police Training Centre in Netley.

Would like to thank the fire service who came round today and fitted smoke alarms and for getting involved with my boys on fire danger they enjoyed looking at the fire engine thank you for your time

Well done and thank you to the Waterlooville crew from the Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service! They have just resolved an unusual problem for us. My Mum has been using a special chair for the bath for the last 4 years with great success, but this evening it just broke in two. Thus stranding Mum in the bath! Due to her extremely bad legs/ankles etc, there was no way she could stand up. There was no way I could lift her either. After a few attempts the only answer was to ring 999. The team from Waterlooville came out. Very professional, friendly, polite and respectful they dealt with everything excellently. They got her out of the bath with no fuss or bother and gave her a full medical check over. As I said to my Mum, it is not every day, a lady has 5 firefighters in the bathroom with her at 1130 at night! Well done team. I was very impressed indeed. Thank you!

Very grateful for a very efficient and professional service. Thank you for the help of the Basingstoke team.

Very fast response to a small fire at mayflower park, was amazed how quick the crew arrived. Keep up the good service

Tonight my son got his fingers tapped in our kitchen door, went into shock and needed oxygen. The fire service managed to cut the door off whilst reassuring him the whole time. Thank you so much for your help X

There in minutes to a fire in Eastleigh. Crew dived out without hesitation and were straight in. Impressive and in awe!

Thanks to these guys the drama did not turn into a crisis. There rapid response was first class. The first time in 65 years I've had to call on them, great to know they are there when you need help.

Just want to say a massive thank you to the fire service that attended today, I locked myself out of the car with my 2 year old epileptic son in the car. I was so scared. Called fire service and less than 2 minutes later you were there, and safely got my son from the car! You all do a fantastic job! Thank you so much xxx

I never got the chance to thank all of the Fire Service and other Emergency Services back in 1997 in Portsmouth, Hampshire.

I was three years old and trapped in a major fire in my home in a block of flats in Buckland. A close friend smashed the window and got my two brothers out, however me and my mum was trapped inside the flat.

I was upstairs next to the room that was full of smoke and fire it destroyed our home. I managed to get the strength to find my way downstairs and found a fire-fighters who got me and my mum out safe. We made it thanks to you. We have suffered from PTSD since it happened but we cant thank you all enough for what you done for us.

I had a car fire late last night and the fire brigade were amazing.. soon stopping a car from exploding and swiftly dealt with the situation.. lovely people who were heroes of the night.. thanks so much for the help you gave me.. your all heroes xxx

I cannot praise you men enough. You've just rescued my 32 year old boy cast in a muddy field. So nice to me and marvellous with my boy. Thank you . Wonderful job xx

Hi. We are a pub in the middle of the new forest The High Corner Inn if you have a collection tin something similar we would gladly support you as we travel,keep horses and have guests bringing horses to the forest on a regular basis. Thank you for doing such a good job..

Had a gentleman from Hampshire Fire Service review our property, put up new smoke alarms and assess exit route he was brilliant and cannot thank him enough.

Brilliant work from the crews that attended my neighbours house fire this evening in Cowley close, Southampton, everything like clock work and so efficient, amazing to watch. Would also like to extend my thanks to the crew members that let my little girl meet them and have a nose at the fire engine, she watched everything you did this evening and was absolutely fascinated, thanks for all you do, you definitely have a new mega fan here! � � Thankyou!

Absolute professionalism. The Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service attended Popham Airfield as a precaution when out aircraft had an undercarriage problem. Thankfully they weren't needed, but they were extremely quick to respond and turned up in force ready to deal with the situation. They were highly professional all the way through and were extremely courteous. They didn't have any issues about attending, even though the aircraft landed safely and no further action was required.
