It makes me sad to live in a town where it seems disabled people are being made to feel not welcome.
Blue badge criteria has been tightened up in the past few years, and so these are people who really cannot walk very far. Walking, cycling (even with the new cycle racks!) and getting the bus are not options they likely have the luxury of. Recently we have seen disabled bays removed from Pittville St, and charges for blue badge holders implemented in council car parks.
How much income was really lost from previously not charging blue badge holders? Because I personally could have done without the hot tubs and car cycle racks for the sake of allowing blue badge holders to easily access the town centre.

Some lovely person has left little hand knitted presents in town today. What a sweet gesture.

Whilst Brexit is the hot topic, really grateful to have the opportunity to visit the European Parliament in Brussels on this special trip with Conservative Friends of the ECR , Young Conservatives and Gloucestershire Young Conservatives. It's a great learning experience, getting insight into how the EU works from the inside and hearing from other countries' MEPs.

We got absolutely drenched but by the end of the March the sun had come out with a lovely rainbow.
It was a very moving day. These men and woman never got to have their homecoming parade, but 1279 people today carried their names and pictures through town to a short service at Montpellier Gardens, as a token gesture of gratitude for their ultimate sacrifice.

Well done Cheltenham Remembers and Cheltenham Borough Council for organising. Over 1300 people here preparing to get started.
