Children will bring home their annual school report today along with SATs results in years 2 and 6. At Haydonleigh we celebrate every child’s achievements : academic, creative, sporting, resilience, kindness, the list goes on. I am extremely proud of the work the whole school has done this year, our SATs results are an excellent reflection of staff and children’s determination. OFSTED acknowledged that we remain a good school, I beg to differ - Haydonleigh is a great school that balances test results and the wider opportunities of Primary education superbly and I am very proud to have the privilege to say that I am the headteacher. To Year 5 parents/carers,
We are making our own habitats for the 'Panda Ant' in DT next Monday. To stay in line with our science topic ('Our Living World'), we would like to use as many recycled materials as possible! For example, cereal boxes, plastic bags from shops, cardboard tubes, egg boxes, plastic bottles and yogurt pots. Please do not buy anything specifically for this project! The children will have a good idea of what might be useful as they have planned their habitat this week. There will be materials available at school in addition to anything you are able to find over the weekend.
