Heron'S Nest Description
This lovely newly converted cottage is situated down a quiet lane, 3 miles from the famous town of Royal Wootton Bassett. There is a private garden to enjoy the views of the fields, woodlands and watch the wildlife. Heron’s Nest provides facilities for those wishing to get-away from it all, but, is also an ideal break for business travelers or contractors who need that “home from home” feeling while they’re working away during the week.
Heron’s Nest has been designed to enjoy all the fabulous views, the spacious accommodation is set over two floors. Cooking in the well equipped kitchen is no longer a chore, with the wonderful views from both windows and a breakfast bar to have your coffee in the morning – it really couldn’t be more idyllic. The open plan living area, with it’s double doors leading out to the garden and beyond provide a wonderful place to sit. There is a designated dining area with sitting for four people. The double bedroom upstairs is finished to a very high standard, and there is room for a travel cot or a small mattress in case a ‘little one’ doesn’t want to use the sofabed! ! There is on-site parking, WiFi, flat screen TV, DVD player, sofabed, travel cot, hairdryer, and a well-stocked hospitality tray along with a seasonal home produce welcome basket!
With that wonderful feeling of being a million miles away you would never know that it takes only 10 minutes to get to Junction 16 on the M4. The Nest makes an ideal break as there are plenty of attractions in the area; the Avebury Stones, Stonehenge, Silbury Hill, Bowood House and Gardens, Cotswold Water Park, Lacock Abbey, The White Horse Hill Figures and The Marlborough Downs. Within an hour one can reach Bath, Bristol or Oxford. There are a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants 3 miles away in RWB.

First floor: 1 double bedroom
Gas CH (underfloor in bathroom).
Bed linen and towels included.

Lawned garden with garden furniture and BBQ. NB: 3 steps from living room patio doors to garden.

Welcome pack.
Pets welcome with prior notice.
No smoking.
English breakfast or Suppers are available with prior notice.
Otherwise, a Continental Breakfast will be given to our Bed and Breakfast Guests the night before so that you can get up when you want to and eat when feel like it!

What a wonderful little treasure of a get away from it all. Beautiful location. Just about to leave following a wonderful restful week in this adorable cottage. Owners are lovely people, quite clearly care about the comfort of their paying guests. Would give 6* if I could. Sad to leave.
We have returned from a 4 day break at Heron's Nest, the cottage was great so well equipped, the views were beautiful. Wonderful warm welcome from Hilary. Thank you to Hilary and her family. We will return for another relaxed break.
This has been our third holiday with Cottages4U, this has been the very best. Hillary and Nick were so welcoming. The cottage is beautiful, everything is so well thought out, the bathroom and bedroom are lovely. The kitchen is fabulous and there is no hardship to prepare food in it!! It has been a great week, the area has many brilliant walks for the dog and many interesting towns to visit. We shall tell all our friends about Heron's Nest. Never had such a relaxing weekend as we did at Heron's Nest. It is in a perfect location and the peace and quiet was blissful. Lovely place to stay - thinking of an excuse to get away again for a weekend!

I chose the herons nest to get ready for my wedding in and then spend our first few nights as husband and wife. I can not begin to say how wonderful it was, the perfect setting! And Hilary and her family gave us the warmest welcome and went above and beyond normal hosting. We shall be making visits for anniversaries without a doubt. LOVE this place! Thank you so much for helping make our special day so special and for the wonderful send off xx
