I recently completed a 12-month IT Student Placement at HM Land Registry. During my time as a placement student, I learnt more than I imagined I ever would. I was given the freedom to work in multiple areas across the company, where I could truly get a feel for how a large-scale IT office functioned. A typical day for me involved spending time with other team members to solve complex and challenging problems, along with engaging in conversations and discussions duri...ng meetings for general planning and refinement of upcoming work.
My placement year enabled me to get an idea of what working life will be like in the future, along with giving me an opportunity to secure a job for when I graduate. Additionally, I saw my grades at University increase significantly from both the additional knowledge gained from colleagues and from the skills I acquired completing various projects."
