As is traditional on the Feast of the Epiphany of the Lord, this weekend there will be Blessed Chalk available after each Mass. You can take this to mark the door of your home, inviting Christ to make His home in yours and making Him known to neighbours and guests.

By tradition, Saint John the Apostle was preserved from death when he drank a chalice of wine poisoned by his enemies. He had blessed the wine first, and so for this reason on his feast day (27 December) the Church blesses wine as reminder of what She calls “Saint John’s Love,” in trusting in Christ.
