Emily is a dedicated and enthusiastic professional with extensive experience as both a classroom teacher of French and Spanish and Head of Department in two Secondary Schools, combined with working as a Senior Examiner for a national examination board for many years. Emily also currently works as an Educational Consultant, Translator and TEFL teacher and also has considerable face to face and online tutoring experience in the UK and France, tutoring from Primary level through to Degree level on a weekly basis.

In her own tutoring, she uses her personable and patient manner to ensure that all students make progress and she achieves this by delivering engaging and individually tailored lessons. Emily prides herself in her use of structured and flexible teaching methods combined with a good sense of humour to ensure that all learners enjoy learning languages with her.

Emily has a great love of the coast, the countryside and the mountains and can often be found taking part in activities or travelling to one of these places, either in the South West of England or further afield! In her spare time, she is a passionate sportswoman and enjoys outdoor pursuits such as skiing, running, surfing and cycling, as well as practising yoga and creating plant based recipes in the kitchen.
