Josh has done a great job on my website, so anyone who needs a website building or tweaking, he’s your man!
It’s been great having an outdoor person doing it as he understands the outdoors and lifestyle linked with it, as well as having a great eye for cool pictures!

Just to let people know..... we have decided to go travelling for a year around the world! 😎🌎✈️
The 4 of us plan to fly out of the UK this September and return August 2019. We are renting our house out and will educate our kids as we travel around on a great adventure. Boating and van life will play a big part of what we do as we plan to visit SE Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and North America.
... So - no British Canoeing Courses for this period of time, but I will be back in winter 2019 and will continue running courses, but with some new ideas of places to run trips!!
If you have ideas of great places to visit then let us know.

Great day working with Totnes Canoe club and Baz Coaching on a 2 star standardising and development day.

We had the most fabulous weekend training with Gary. I brought Gary 6 candidates for 3* Open Boat and was allowed to sit on the course. I witnessed some excellent tuition which was delivered through carefully graded exercises in just the right environment. The exercises were inspirational and developmental for all the candidates. A patient and thorough approach in a safe learning environment. Detailed tuition. Very memorable. Thank you so much. I learnt a lot as well of course. Just watching him demonstrate, so effortlessly, in any craft in any situation, is inspirational in itself. To be recommended!

User

Spent the weekend on Inspiring Adventure's canoe leader training course. Excellent coaching from Gary, offering loads of new skills and ways to subtly improve existing skills. Highly recommended for paddlers looking at advancing their canoe leadership. Thanks Gary.

User

Really enjoyed a full and informative 3 days of Advanced Canoe Leader training with Garry. Days were long and included everything ‘syllabus’ related as well as being enriched with Garry’s own insightful wisdom. He was aware of the groups own personal knowledge and experience drawing on this, sharing as appropriate, bringing further opportunities to our learning.

The choice of venues were excellent.

I definitely felt I received good value for money and have no hesitation in recommending.

Paddlers Party 2017

Held at the River Dart Country Park, events were organised by our own Rich o'Brien.

Sam Kite, Jon Roberts & Myself joined Jeannie Green & Robbie with his two dogs for a day's whitewater canoeing from RDCP down to Buckfastleigh. Introductions were at the park followed by shuttling gear and boats around. We got in at Holne weir after a quick look at Gary's well prepared boat & with a few bits of coaching headed downstream. Coaching on the river was bit by bit to allow for us to experiment & tweek our skills. The Anvil was dispatched with some breakouts by some of the group. At lunch break a few more skills were introduced & improvements made to technique. Back on the river, the broken weir or rock ledge in Hembury Woods was styled up by us all & further play in the whitewater below it. Was that a wave? Let's see? Can you go & put the nose into the flow? Oh yes!

Down to the Devils elbow which had Jon out of his boat & Sam's only just floating with Sam still upright. Unfortunately Robbie took a swim along with his two dogs. All was well though, as they had their BA's on & were soon collected & back in the boats.

At Buckfast Abbey (Furzeleigh Weir) weir, we lined the boats down the face & paddled down to without any concerns. Ending the day at Buckfast meant Coffee & Cake in the cafe.

Thanks for Gary Peverill & Jevon Jennings for a brilliant day on the water & would recomend Gary's company "Inspiring Adventure" without hesitation.

Just wanted to say a big thanks to Ollie Vann for a great 4 star canoe training course this weekend down in Devon. Given that we (the course participants) are all outdoor instructors/ professionals of differing prior knowledge, skill and experience levels it was refreshing to attend a course which we all enjoyed, were all fully engaged throughout and all came away from with new skills and techniques to improve and consolidate! Here's to our next course and adventure with you!! Thanks again Ollie for all your coaching!! Dan

Just passed my 4 star moderate water leader assessment with Gary and Laurence. It was a good weekend and very to the book. There were no hidden surprises and it was a very clear plan for each day. The division of leading and time with the different assessors was well balanced and river choices were appropriate to be within remit for the assessment. There were concerns storm Brian would cause complications but though a bit wet and winter it was worth while.

User

Just completed my Paddlesport Coach qualification with Gary. Very encouraging coach with lots of useful, transferable skills that will help me in my future coaching. He's really individual and personal when it comes to teaching, would 100% recommend.

User

Just completed my 5 star open boat training with Inspiring Adventure in wales. The course was very well organised, informative, knowledgeable and great fun and it has given me way more confidence on higher grade rivers than I ever imagined.

They say "To be at the top of your game you need to get top training" and this is true.

Well if you are thinking of taking any of the BCU star awards or coaching awards, you can be rest assured that Gary from Inspiring Adventure will deliver exactly that.....see you soon. Regards Nigel Startin Intrepid Expeditions.

User

Just completed my 4* trying with Gary. He was confident, engaging and full of knowledge. Highly recommended.

User

Just completed a 5 star (advanced leader) canoe training with Gary in North Wales. The course was excellent with a good choice of venues to maximise learning opportunities. Gary's level of knowledge and ability to share it in an individualised way is second to none. I feel like I have been left with exactly what I need to know and do to hopefully be successful on assessment. Thanks very much Pev.

User

I have just spent 2 days with Gary on a 1 to 1 basis going through BCU 2* Kayak & Canoe. His knowledge, expertise, understanding & professionalism is second to none. He brought back the confidence I had 30 years ago in a kayak & taught me a whole new world in open canoe. Best of all he is an absolute top guy to be around. Thanks again Gary & look forward to more training in the near future.

User

I completed my Level 2 Coach assessment with Gary this weekend. A very wet and windy day in Totnes on the Dart but made much better by Gary's calm and intuitive knowledge of the paddlesports and coaching delivery. He put me at ease from the outset. Highly recommended for L2 assessment. Stephanie

User

I completed a 4 star canoe training course with Gary at Inspiring Adventures. It really was an excellent course and has left me with plenty to think about. The course was superb and used brilliant environments to cover the open water and grade 2 river sections. If you're thinking about doing your 4 star then I'd definitely recommend Gary. Thank you

User

Gary peverill delivered a great assessment. I'm not just saying that because I passed :). The whole weekend was relaxed and you never felt under pressure. Lots of knowledge on hand during the assessment to better your personal skills along the way. I will be giving theses guys a call for some personal coaching .

Gary is amazing at what he does. His ability to explain, observe and encourage all while making it seem effortless is remarkable.

I’ve known Gary for a few years (he’s married to my cousin!) but I’ve been a paying guest on one of his trips to the Alps and it was worth every penny. He is the best teacher in any context I’ve ever met.

For me his stand out skill came through when he was explaining a technique and line choice for the next stretch of river. I didn’t initially understand and instead of doing what most teaches I’ve experienced so far so and just repeat the same thing again he changed his explanation subtlety it instantly clicked.

I may be family but I’d pay full price without hesitation to go on another trip or course with Inspiring Adventure.

User

Did my 4 star WW Kayak assesment with Laurence and Gary, they were both superb! It was a well run and organised weekend in a relaxed environment but still with rigorous testing. I thought the assessment and feedback was fair and prompt and even with the challenging conditions we faced, plans were made and a good time was had by all. The price was definitely good value for money and I would recommend going with Laurence or Gary. I can't wait for our next trip together!

User

Completed the UKCC Level 1 with Gary and Baz. Fantastic course run over the 4 days. Challenging yet enjoyable and rewarding. Left the course really inspired and with a whole new set of skills to now use and practice more of on the water. Loved the sessions incorporating a range of craft from open canoes to sit on tops, playboats to SUP. I loved using the SUP that much I now want to get on a SUP course! Both Gary and Baz delivered the course with high professionalism and enthusiasm. Can't recommend Inspiring Adventure enough - thanks a lot guys! Brixham was also a great place to take the course at - great facilities and superb setting.

User

Big thanks to Gary, for assessing me as part of my National Trainer sign-off, for the white water kayak leader provider role.

Lot's of support before and during the assessment, making the whole process very clear for myself.

We also shared ideas on coaching practices, assessment standard for students and looked into syllabus understanding.

A very relaxed and chilled approach over the two days!

User

Advanced Canoe Leader Training in Devon. An excellent course run by Gary and a really great few days of coaching, being challenged at an appropriate level and loads of learning! I have really enjoyed every aspect of the course which was delivered in a very professional and friendly environment with Gary who has loads of knowledge to share. Thanks Gary
