Inverewe Gardens Poolewe Camping And Caravanning Club Site Description

Our Inverewe Gardens Club campsite shares its name with the world-famous tropical Inverewe Gardens created by Osgood Mackenzie in 1862. This lush oasis perches on a peninsula at the edge of Loch Ewe surrounded by more than 2, 000 acres of conservation estate.

Our campsite, just a short walk away, is another oasis of peace and calm. This pretty tree-lined site enjoys glorious views that extend over Loch Ewe – the eagle-eyed may spot otters and seals enjoying the waters. Catch the weather right and the sunsets from here are sublime.

The site has toilet and shower facilities, a laundry and backpacker facilities. For provisions the village of Poolewe, a short walk away has a good shop, as well as a tearoom and hotel.

There are plenty of walks to be enjoyed from site or cycle to Inveradale around the Loch. Further north Rubha nan Sasan, beyond Cove is home to a range of WWII command posts and gun emplacements which helped guard the entrance to Loch Ewe during the war.

Nearby Gairloch has a heritage Museum and Marine Life Centre offering daily cruises to survey dolphins, whales and seals.

Shops a wee bit dear but that's to be expected on a site shop wardens very helpful lovely quiet site

User

Lovely well kept site with pitches having great veiws, the site staff are polite and extremely friendly and the facilities spotlessly clean, people have complained about the noisey road but can't say I found it noisey, yes it is on the main road to the gardens and on the 500 route so there is going to be tourist traffic and kets be honest if your staying here you're probably a tourist yourself so why complain. Night time extremely quiet, you could hear a pin drop and the sunsets alone are truly magnificent. Thoroughly recommend.

Excellent location, quite, great pub near by

Best site on our 5 week tour around Scotland. Great views, facilities and excellent service from the very friendly staff.

User

Dreadful weather not the sites fault

Good solid concrete pitch and nice and level

Site is well maintained grass was quite long although they tried to cut it but it was a bit wet

I was at the back of the site so the road was quite far away I heard the occasional car/motorbike but nothing too intrusive

The only downside was some moron with sticky fingers stole my jockey wheel from my cars a frame

I’ll visit again but I’ll make sure everything is locked

User

Situated in beautiful well kept area, unfortunately the toilet and shower block were awful and need upgrading desperately. Very poor facilities, not very clean, shower plug holes blocked with hair and cobwebs everywhere.
